This was a present from work. We would like to say thank you to the people who welcomed us & looked after us in reception. Courtney-May & supervisor Holly. Also mention to those who looked after us in the restaurant including manager Ryan, Molly, Louis, Ruby & breakfast/dinner supervisors (names not recalled). We booked a self catering cottage (Beach 1) at The Headlands to celebrate a big birthday. I was completely underwhelmed by the cottage, although the location is 5 star the accommodation itself is far from. Mould on the bathroom ceiling, tired looking shower curtain, broken dishwasher utensil basket, and unstable fridge. Window shutters could not be closed without moving heavy furniture, extremely uncomfortable sofa which seat cushions needed readjusting constantly. Bed frame unfinished with yellow staining. The welcome tea tray included Cornish tea leaves to be enjoyed however teapot provided could only hold enough water for 2.5 small cups when the cottage caters for 4. We was not made aware that it was 1 double room and 1 twin room, we was not contacted prior to our stay to discuss bed configuration either so was disappointed on arrival. Since arriving home we have emailed The Headlands raising these issues however it seems the only customers they are interested in keeping happy are future guests - no consideration has been given to my disappointment with my stay.

A hotel of pure class. From the warm, welcoming reception upon arrival to the excellent customer service of all the staff. This hotel was in a league of its own. Beautiful location on the Fistral beach. Lovely room which overlooked the spa and had ocean views. The lounge downstairs was very comfortable, with plenty of places to sit. We were lucky enough to have a pianist amongst the guests to play some tunes in the evenings, which were beautiful to listen to. The staff in Ren Mor restaurant were first class!! Professional. Friendly. Courteous. And above all, really happy in their job, which is not always the case in customer facing roles, so this was lovely to see. Don’t even get me started on the food at Ren Mor restaurant. There aren’t enough words to describe excellence!! Literally Michelin Star ⭐️ restaurant. Gordan Ramsey would struggle to find fault!! And that’s saying something. We haven’t had food this good…….Ever!! Fine dining at its best. Paradise on a plate!! Beautifully presented. Perfectly cooked. Tastes and flavours like nothing else we’ve ever had. Absolutely superb. And all sourced from local produce which is a big thumbs up!! We were fortunate enough to use the restaurant every night of our stay. When we booked the hotel, they had an offer on of £55 per person per day towards an evening meal. So some of our meals were costing between £2 to £20 for a three course meal. Depending if we had drinks as the voucher didn’t cover that. The deal was phenomenal. We wouldn’t have been eating in there every night without it, because with fine dining, comes with fine pricing. So we were thoroughly spoiled!! The Aqua club facilities were fantastic but unfortunately for us we only got to use the 25 meter pool due to the outdoor pool and jacuzzi always being busy. We found that a lot of guests were placing towels down early in the mornings and also were members there. But the spa in the basement was relaxing and tranquil. Our room was kept lovely by staff. And the bed was huge, but a little uncomfortable for us, so didn’t sleep well. But outside of that could not fault it. This hotel is one that you have to stay in at least once in your lifetime.

Another wonderful stay over half term, weather was spectacular and we even saw the witch who was walking the floors, we wished we had dressed up ourselves as it was a magical halloween atmosphere, even Halloween themed cocktails. Room was spotless, food as good as last time and thanks to Ryan for looking after us at breakfast. We even had a treatment which was excellent and the girls in the Spa are a pleasure to deal with. See you very soon, we are planning our next trip already

Fabulous place to celebrate a special occasion for a few days. We stayed in a front row cottage for daughter’s 21st birthday. View was spectacular. Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, but I’d say kitchen facilities are more suited to heating food up than cooking from scratch. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Aqua club and Spa both very nice spaces to relax after surfing/walking.

I stayed for a week at the headland hotel, as a family of 4 in a village view cottage and it was truly outstanding. The whole place just oozes quality and classiness. We had breakfast in the deck restaurant 5 mornings and went to Renmor for the other 2. The food in both restaurants was amazing, although the choice was better at Renmor with the added luxury of a buffet and hot food. We also ate in the Renmor restaurant one night and at the terrace another. The food was very good in both. Steak in Renmor was worth every penny, and the thousand layer chips really were very good indeed. I also highly recommend visiting Rick Steins fish and chip shop for food, and I had a fantastic streak at the Oceanside restaurant which is just outside the hotel gates on the left. The facilities in the hotel were also a very nice extra. Every day we visited the Aqua Club spa which consists of 5 pools and a jacuzzi. Part of this is outdoors with an open air and view of the cliffs and sea. The water is equivalent temperature to bath water, so I feel like you could even visit the outdoor areas in the winter. Luckily we had good weather. The staff regularly come round and will fetch drinks from the bar too. What a great stay. I have already booked again for a week next year. We visit Newquay most years but found we didn't really need to go into the town. We spent most of our time in the hotel spa and restaurants.
