Lovely setting for a wedding, food was great, the view was spectacular. The only issue was I arrived the morning of the wedding, I was told when booking I could check in earlier at no extra cost. This was t the case when I arrived, I was told I could get ready in the rest rooms. And leave my bag in the luggage room. Not idea at all when I had been told different.

I can’t express enough how fantastic this venue is! A wonderful, spacious room with a beautiful view of the Mournes, excellent food (from a wide variety of catering packages) and the service is quite simply outstanding! The manger went over and above to ensure we had a memorable and stress free day. Great value for money and communication was fantastic in the lead up to the event. I would recommend the Donard for any private function and look forward to visiting their new restaurant when I’m next in town.

Despite the poor reviews we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. The Haven is located at the far end of the promenade past the car park. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a very large bed which was very comfortable. There was no fridge but that wasn't an issue for us as we only stayed for one night. Overall we had a good experience.
