Location is very central and close to attractions in the city. It is also close to Penn station and New York port authority bus terminal which makes it easy to go in and out of the city. Amenities are also very complete.

As a solo traveler who just wants a clean, hassle free, comfortable, no surprises place to stay this was that and so much more. This place is more like an Air B&B, less like a hotel which I very much liked. It's a newly renovated 4 level brownstone and it was immaculate (Dec. 2023). I liked the fact that I had a front door code and room code emailed to me and that made check in quick and easy. Beautiful common area kitchen and sitting room which I didn't use but nice to see. My room was comfortable with a bed, desk, private bath. Nicely decorated but not over done. Doors and walls all new and freshly painted, it felt like I was their first guest. No TV which is fine for me. Laundry room available which I didn't use. There was no elevator so if that is an issue for you, know that up front. You enter the building through a typical street level gate to get to the lower level door into a very nice entry foyer. Your room could be on level 4 so if stair climbing is an issue with bags in tow you may want to reconsider. New AC/heating unit that works and an operable window. I stay in the city often, I see lots of beat up places, this is not one of them. I look forward to booking a room here on my next stay, for me it is exactly what I look for.

The location could not get more central, jet it was a quiet street. The building was just redone and the rooms were spacious and clean. Sam was a lovely host. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our short-term stay. Everything was very convenient; location, amenities & free laundry. The owner (presumably) had a box of hand warmers to share in the common living room. Only complaint is that the shower is either really hot or really cold, not much time for in between temp. Also, fyi no elevators in the building. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location. Super clean with a well equipped central kitchen. Everything was perfect except there was no mirror in the bathroom, and the mattress was soft and uncomfortable with a plastic mattress cover that was noisy and hot to sleep on. We never received the email with the entry code but luckily that did not end up being a problem.

Book it!!! This place is AMAZING! So comfortable and relaxing, yet close enough to walk to Times Square, Rockefeller, etc. Our room did not have a TV, but who goes to NY to watch TV, anyway :) Absolutely would book again!

This is a walk up building with only stairs and this is not in the listing but it’s 4 floors. There’s no hand soap or mirrors in the bathroom either. But it’s a beautiful home that has lovely clean spaces and a good location.

We love this place, good location, the building is clean, the room is clean and new, the common area with kitchen and living room is great. The owner, manager is friendly. We would come back again.

It's in a great location, and as of April 2024, the interior is beautiful and I am very satisfied. It's more like a short-term share house than a hotel. There is no front desk, and the manager is probably a live-in staff member in a room next to the shared living room and kitchen on the second floor. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, but there is a large refrigerator in the shared kitchen, and it feels like the refrigerator space is divided for each room. There is no housekeeping, but you can just take your towels to the laundry and bring new ones from the linen room, so as long as you don't have any strong preferences for a resort feel or for the hotel's excellent services, this location in Manhattan would be a great value for money. One thing to note is that the guest rooms are on the third or fourth floor, and there is no elevator, so you will have to carry your suitcase up and down the stairs yourself.
