We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. We had a brilliant stay and were so well looked after by Cristi and the team, the room was lovely and the gardens were beautiful with perfect sunsets. Had lovely breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea. It was very handy we had a driver pick us up from the airport from here in the early hours. Had a nice boat trip on the lagoon and walked down the Dutch canals in Negombo. Lots of good restaurants and bars on the high street especially Mr Crab and Jude restaurants. Would highly recommend The Icebear Guesthouse and would stay again

I booked a deluxe king-bed room to make it more comfortable for me to sleep alone. The guy at the front desk made it into a twin-bed room for me. After communicating with me, I quickly changed the room. The facilities and equipment are quite old. When booking this hotel, don’t book it on Ctrip The reservation for dinner and breakfast was a group that was not delicious. The Western food at the restaurant for an extra fee is still available and the price is not expensive. It is just too close to the seaside. Sometimes there will be power outages. Sometimes the lights will be on and the air conditioner will automatically turn off (I guess the voltage is insufficient) , there is also a jewelry store on the first floor of the hotel, don’t buy it, they are all jewelry with high water content! When I left at the end, I piled a pillow mountain of tips on them (just 1,300 rupees).

Stayed here to recover from my long flights. Very comfortable place, but it is a little difficult to find from the road. It's not exactly close to anything a tourist would be interested in, however transportation is cheap and you can get to the nice bits of Negombo or to the transportation centers very easily.
