Hotel Joyfull

Naples|1.19km from Centro Commerciale Il Borgo
We picked the hotel due to the low price and ”hotel shuttle”. As we neared the hotel in our taxi, the neighborhood was comically horrific: crumbling, empty, graffiti-covered buildings with trash everywhere. The hotel however, was quite nice. Very out-of-place, to be honest. Clean rooms. Quite modern and comfy. The air conditioning kept turning off and showing an error code. We turned it back on perhaps 5 times. Eventually it stayed on for the rest of the night. We almost didn’t go out to dinner due to the sketchy neighborhood, but thought we’d risk it as we checked some Trip Advisor reviews and everybody liked the restaurant up the street. I must say, the place, Alfredo’s was FANTASTIC! It made our stay. Only about 100 yards away. Tchotchkes all over the walls and ceiling. The staff was super friendly. The food, delicious! As it turns out, there was no hotel shuttle, so Hotwire needs to fix that part on their website. The desk clerk told us they would schedule us a taxi for the next morning and to expect the fare to be 19:50 euros. The taxi was right on time, and the fare was what we were told to expect. Ride to NAP was about 15 min. Some reviews mentioned a continental breakfast, but there wasn’t one, at least that day. All we got was coffee, but it was espresso, which the desk clerk made for us, and it was great! Bottom line: a great hotel if you’re arriving at the end of the day, want to eat a delicious meal, and leave the next morning on an early flight.

Airport-Napoli

The accommodation is completely new inside and very well equipped. It is half an hour walk from the airport or 5 minutes by car. There is a bus stop very close (Napoli-Orta) that connects with the center of Naples. Inside it is just as it appears in the photographs on the page. The owner is very attentive and helpful. He got us a transfer to take us to the airport at 5:00 a.m. because our flight was leaving very soon.

Fantastic hotel!! We arrived last night at 22:00 and checking out this morning as we move onto Ischia. If all the negative reviewers did their research prior to booking this hotel then they would know it’s a stop off hotel rather than a long stay hotel. The taxi ride from the airport took all of 10mins and cost €20. Yes, the drive up is extremely “dodgy” and not somewhere where you would be walking alone at night. However, once inside it’s like a completely different place. Very clean, safe, modern with friendly staff. Our room was on the 14th floor and Premium, it was immaculate plus the shower/bathroom was great with a walk-in wet room. Shower pressure was bliss after travelling all day. Breakfast was fabulous, various pastries, cold meats and cheeses, fruit and yogurts. A typical Italian breakfast consists of a pastry and coffee, so I think their attempt at bacon eggs and beans etc to please that clientele was 10/10!

What a great idea! Sometimes you have to travel overnight & you don't need a spa, a pool or a conference centre. Just a shower & a place to sleep. The entrance was within walking distance from the airport. The man on reception was very nice. There were vending machines for coffee & water and plenty of private shower rooms. The pod was bigger than I expected. The sheets were nice and clean and the bed was quite comfy. You can control the lights and ventilation. Plus there's a tv and a little drop down desk for your laptop. ;) I slept well as must of my neighbours were quiet. I'll stay again.

Brilliant location less than ten minutes walk from the airport plus has a rear exit directly to the car rental location. Reffaelle our receptionist was the loveliest lady ever, so helpful and friendly and really made our stay relaxing despite some stressful travel issues! We would definitely recommend if you need somewhere to sleep before or after a flight. We didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked fab. Management - Radfaelle is a star please pass on our thanks to her
Buono Hotel

We only had a quick night in Napoli and left the next morning to Sorrento. Originally I had a placed booked in Quartieri Spagnoli but I changed it last minute to Hotel Buono as it was much closer to the airport. This part of Napoli isn’t the best place to walk around, in terms of sights, restaurants, etc. Umberto welcomed us at reception, spoke better than average English, and was very helpful. We went out for a few hours and when we got back they told us they moved us up to a larger room on their top floor as we would be more comfortable. There was a simple breakfast that we skipped due to too much pizza and gelato the night before. We asked for a few Coke Zero from the bar and they didn’t charge us since we didn’t take any breakfast. Overall, it was perfect for our quick night in Napoli. Napoli wasn’t the kind of place I think I would want to spend a lot of time in anyway, well with Amalfi Coast so nearby. Hotel Buono is a solid 3 star hotel in my book. Updated, clean and friendly people.
