This four-entry courtyard is located at the site of the former residence of Empress Xiaolie of the Ming Dynasty. The current building has a history of nearly 600 years. There is also a ginkgo tree of the same age in the courtyard. When I arrived at the store, I heard the store owner introduce that the structure, cornices, woodwork, and brickwork of Queen Xiaolie's residence had all been surveyed and registered. The threshold stones, edge stones, and column bases were all preserved. On this basis, they were restored as they were before. The most interesting thing is that the names of the rooms are all named after the reign names and palaces of the Ming Dynasty: Zhengde, Hongxi, Qianqing, Wenyuan, etc. This shows that the design team is really attentive. Later, when I went out to play, I found that it was within walking distance. It only takes more than 10 minutes to drive to the Zhonghua Gate, Confucius Temple, and Dabaoen Temple scenic spots, as well as the Presidential Palace, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and Meiling Palace. On the afternoon of the first day we arrived, we played chess and drank tea in the store. We didn’t want to go anywhere else. What a beautiful courtyard.

The Sanjin Courtyard we encountered is indeed the courtyard where the royal family lived. You can also find the former residence of Shen Wansan, the former residence of Jiang Wansan, the Zhou Chu Reading Table and other residences of royal princes around here. The courtyard pattern surrounded by four sides is a unique Chinese style. Opposite the courtyard is the pedestrian street of Laomen, which is also the former residence of Fu Shanxiang, the female champion of the Ming Dynasty! The hotel breakfast is different from the star-rated hotels I usually stay in. It is not a self-service buffet, but it is cooked to order on the spot. I like it. The food is very clean. I only thought of taking pictures after eating.
