The room facilities and bedding are good, especially the separate hot spring bath, which the children like very much. However, the bathroom has a foul smell... Although a fresh air blower has been used to remove the odor, the effect is not good. The key is that the subwoofer of the KTV is too loud at night. I can hear every song clearly, which affects my sleep. I asked the front desk and they said it will not end until 2 o'clock in the morning. If the hotel must have a dance hall, it must be soundproofed.

The owner’s authentic dishes are very delicious. There are beautiful scenery everywhere outside. The big water tanker is really great for taking pictures at night. You can also set off fireworks opposite, which kids love. The interior of the hotel is also very special. There is an ancient well at the entrance, which has a sense of age. When I brought my children here, they liked to gather around the well to press water. The well water is ice cold in summer. The hotel room was also very clean and well equipped with all the amenities. We originally booked a twin room, but later the landlady heard that we had brought two children and upgraded me to a parent-child room for free. It was a very comfortable stay. Later I found out that the movie ”Yun Shui Yao” was shot in their house, which was quite interesting! The surrounding scenery is super beautiful, and next to the hotel yard are the two ancient banyan ”husband and wife” trees that are more than 600 years old.

Perfect location right at the foot of the stair case up to the viewpoint of Tianluokeng Tulou cluster so you and walk up to view the 4 dishes and 1 soup before the tourists come. It also sits next to the tulou, easy stroll in the morning. The owner can arrange taxi to pick up and drop off from nearby station (I arrived at Nanjing station), and same driver drive me for the whole day next day to visit all the main attractions. Food is ok, cooked by the owner, a bit over price dinner menu, but vegetable is home grown, fresh. Owner speak little language, need to use a lot of google translate. Room is basic, toilet is ok, good hot water running strongly. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

The villa is a separate 3 small buildings (Figure 1), unlike the building because the wooden structure is not soundproof, very quiet, people who are sensitive to noise recommend living in the villa. We arrived by high speed train at Nanjing (Fujian) and found a taxi to take us to the hotel (one way ¥260, negotiated from ¥300). The journey was around 2 hours on winding and slow roads (on the way back we took the high speed motorway which reduced the journey time to around an hour). The hotel is in a rural location off the main tourist areas. We arrived later than expected but we were able to get dinner. The food is exceptional. The chicken in particular is delicious. We booked a family room with a slide. Our children would of happily spent the entire stay in the room playing on the slide. I've stayed in many 5 star branded hotels and yet this guesthouse has so many little extras, gadgets and technology than most. The password keypad door handle is perhaps the most over complicated means of opening a door, but I applaud the dedication to style and design. The toilet has a Japanese style multifunction thing going on. It took me a long time to figure out how to flush it. The toilet seat lifts when you open the door! The TV is a large projection on the wall. Not being Chinese I struggled to figure how to get regular TV channels. Everything I found required pay to view. It was a nice and clear projection however, and if able to understand the programming it would be amazing. We enjoyed 2 days touring various Tulou's. There are many within a short drive, though behind the hotel there is a small village with Tulou and earth buildings that make for a lovely walk. Overall, a great guesthouse with trendy vibes and family friendly facilities. Very comfortable stay.
