Gorgeous place with beautiful rooms and an amazing and super big common area, with 3 different spots for sitting and chatting. Even a Japanese style magnificent fireplace and a bar. The staff is very friendly and well organized. The rooms themselves are nicely Japanese style rooms and super well equipped! Overall very relaxing!

So stunning. The lobby is very designed. Although the restrooms and bathrooms are shared, the manager has taken great care in making the entire hotel and shared facilities fashionable, fresh, clean, and practical. We arrived past the check-in time, and the hotel staff thoughtfully left us a self-check-in guide and made the bed. The details are impeccable. highly recommended

The staff are very friendly and kind. The location is also very convenient. There are many restaurants nearby. There is a parking lot 5 minutes away. It is very convenient whether you come here by yourself or by car!

The location of the hotel is easy to find. I found it after a short walk from the subway. The tatami mats are quite clean, but the sound insulation effect is not particularly good. It may be due to the road. The downside is that the toilets are public. The store will provide you with a drink at the bar when you check in .

Not soundproof

Don't be fool up by the name Ryokan, it's merely a hostel. Shared small shower and toilet. No lift but staircase, be careful if you bring big luggage. Most importantly we paid 32k YEN for 2 persons which can stay much better accomodation in other cities. Think twice before you make reservation with this place.

The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were clean, quiet and the Japanese style room was nice. Showers are clean, and have Dove products complimentary for all guests. I got great recommendations from staff about where to have dinner. They even sent my glasses to my next destination as I forgot them at the shower room! Totally recommend this hotel.

Very near Nakatsugawa JR station with friendly staff and 7-11 not too far. The corner room I stayed at had no dark curtains though - the room lit up pretty early in the morning. Shared bathroom was alright, as well as common water dispenser and microwave. Free welcome drink is nice!

Good base for a stay of a few days in the Kiso Valley - including for a day walk on part of the Nakasendo trail. Just a short walk from Nakatsugawa JR station. One suggested improvement: Provide inside slippers for tourists with big feet - those provided were impossible given I take a size UK12 shoe!

This Ryokan was perfectly situated: very near the station but not too close. What I loved about this Ryokan was that it was a modern, chic version of an old Japanese Ryokan. My room was light, fresh and spacious. The Ryokan was new, 2 years old, so it had the mod cons whilst being very aware of being eco friendly. As to be expected in Japan it was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly attentive. Although not fluent in English, they made every attempt to communicate through Google translate etc. I felt very welcomed here. I highly recommend this Ryokan and would definitely return.

It's close to the station and easy to get to. If you don't mind the shared bathroom and toilet, I think it's a good, cheap place. It's a Japanese-style room, so you can relax on the tatami floor!

No TV. There is Wi-fi, so you can kill time. Toilets and shower rooms are shared. We think that it is reasonable when we consider accommodation charges. The staff will be absent from 22:00 to 7:00. Please note that the stairs are steep. Many restaurants nearby close early. I ate the food I bought at the convenience store in the free space.

It has been beautifully renovated, but the original building is old and you can hear the little sneeze next door. There is no toilet in the room, and it is quite inconvenient that women are on the 2nd floor and men are on the 3rd floor. Come down to the lobby in the morning, even if there are staff, you have to say hello from here There was no call. It must be a company founded by young staff who don't often say hello in their daily lives. I felt a little uncomfortable.
