Get off at the bus terminal and walk for 15 minutes. There is a steep uphill road of about 60 meters on the way out. The waiter helped with the luggage and was polite. The meals on both days were not the same. The quality and taste were both good👍

I stayed at Tokiwasure-no-Yado Yoshimoto for two nights in December 2023. Everything was impeccable - the service, the room, the onsen and the staff were all lovely. Much thought and care has gone into the elaborate, exquisitely plated kaiseki breakfasts and dinners and each room has all the comforts and amenities a luxury onsen getaway could ask for. Even better, this ryokan did not discriminate against me as a solo traveller and allowed me to stay in the main building in a spacious and luxurious room with its own private onsen. There is a separate area in each room with a private bath for changing, cosmetics and drying one’s hair which I found highly convenient and made good use of during my stay. The private onsen attached to my room was comfortable, overlooking the lush green forest and hillside where the ryokan is situated. I will definitely be stopping by Shima Onsen again and Tokiwasure no Yado Yoshimoto will be my accommodation of choice.

Presentation and quality of dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The staff were very kind and caring. The room was nice and clean. Everything was perfact at this inn and we had an amazing experience.

8室だけの小さな宿なのでとても落ち着いて居心地の良い、食事の美味しい、清潔な宿です。スタッフの接遇も行き届いています。以前、途中たまたま立ち寄った中之条ガーデンのバラ園が素晴らしく、それからは夫婦で春秋のバラの時季に合わせて年2回宿泊しています。料理は和食中心で、贅沢な素材はないけれど、一品一品丁寧に工夫された調理と味付けで感動します。 It is a small inn with only 8 rooms, so it is very calm and cozy, with good food and cleanliness. The staff is also very attentive. We happened to stop by the Nakanojo Garden rose garden on the way to the inn and were so impressed with the garden that we have been going there twice a year in the spring and fall, just in time to see the roses and stay at the inn. The food is mainly Japanese, and although there are no extravagant ingredients, each dish is carefully prepared and seasoned erabolately to impress.

This place is quite famous for Onsen and we were not disspaointed. The ryokan was quite small, only 8 guest rooms threrefore the service was excellent since we arrived. The onsen was excellent. they have private onsen for 2 people and normal onsen for guest both indoor and outdoor (with very nice view of Momiji). The best part was dinner in kaiseki style. There were plenty of dishes all of which was very delicious with very nice service by ryokan staff. the room was quite large with toilet. We had a very good sleep and enjoy the view from the room. The breakfast was also very good indeed and very tasty. We did enjoy our stay very much. although it was not cheap to stay for 1 night but it is much worth your money. Excellent.

I went there by train from Tokyo. I got a little lost on the way, but as soon as I arrived at the inn, my fatigue went away. My room had an open-air bath, and the snowy scenery was so beautiful that I could have spent hours soaking in it. We were able to have a wonderful moment with the beer that we could order in our room. We had a very relaxing time, the food was delicious, and the hot springs were wonderful. thank you very much.

I chose this inn based on my sister's recommendation! I chose the cooking upgrade plan, and all the dishes were delicious, especially the tuna sashimi and salmon sorbet. By eating in a different way, I was able to discover flavors that I had never eaten before. Also, there was one dish that came out during the service that I wasn't expecting, so I felt very happy.
