I had such a great experience at Mövenpick Nairobi, we were severed by Joram. Hw had great customer services and recommended a great choice of wine. The food was also really good. Overall it was ok. Pros, good location, the staff are friendly and the room is decent. Cons, the reception is inefficient and check in takes longer than it should. It’s like we are first customer that has ever checked in. Lots of confusion. My ac did not work. I had to call 3 times to reception before someone turned up. They said the ac does not work here. Did not bother to check anything because it seem normal for the ac not to work. I told him it’s very hot in this room and I can’t sleep. Also ac is basic especially if you are calling yourself a 5 star hotel. He shrugged and said I can get you a fan. Got very little sleep and I think they don’t service the ac to save on electricity. It’s a poor attitude from the management especially for a “5 Star” hotel. It’s more like a 3 star. Better places to go for the same price. Will not return.

The breakfast buffet had an excellent array of choices and everything on offer was enjoyable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The security process and security doors and card access only areas seemed a bit over the top but we did indeed feel secure. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve dinner on the top floor of the hotel. It was a memorable experience. My only complaint is that though I had the air conditioning on and temperature set to cool the room a bit, the unit was running during our two day stay and never cooled the room or reached the temperature chosen. Also the in room phone did not work. I did request a maintenance person come to check on both f these issues and no one ever came. The bed was very comfortable and the modern style of the room was nice.

Very lovely stay. Rooms were very clean. We had an amazing balcony which had a great view of the city skyline. We stayed at this Hotel twice! Also I would definitely recommend grabbing a mocha from the small cafe/coffee shop near reception. I would try and get a room on a higher floor as of course that = better view. Although saying this I still enjoyed the view from the sixth floor also!

It feels very good. The hotel has Chinese food. The hotel staff and hotel managers are very friendly and attentive. There are shopping malls near the hotel, a few minutes’ drive away, and shopping is also convenient. After staying there for a week, the hotel can rent a car and it is safe to go out. There, I ran out of money, the hotel manager was a Chinese, and he also helped to accept the domestic WeChat exchange of RMB for US dollars. It was almost a sense of seeing a fellow countryman. Very grateful for the hotel's help, very humane. Will stay there next time I go.

We were pleasantly surprised to see the massive size of the hotel apartment - huge 2 bedroom apartment - big living room, 2 huge bedrooms with spacious bathrooms. Very clean and well maintained. We stayed there mainly for the night, so didn't get to explore the facilities. But the dinner was part of the package-this is next surprise we had - it was open al-a-carte where we could order anything on the menu (excluding alcoholic bevereages). The food was just outstanding - nothing to fault in any of the items ordered by our entire group. Breakfast was a buffet which was fine. The staff were also very helpful. There was a mall 2 minutes walk away - Sarit mall - which was convenient as well. One of the families were upgraded to the pent house which has to be seen to believe - such a fine and massive suite.

I have been in Africa for almost a month and haven’t exercised much. I just found out that there is a gym in the hotel today, even though I had a sore back and worked hard for half an hour. I still feel the need to tell everyone. The climate in Kenya is really good, neither hot nor cold. After exercising, it is really enjoyable to sit on the sofa in the yard and drink a bottle of water. The African-style metal decoration on the wall is also very attractive. By the way, the general manager David is a local and greets me at breakfast basically every morning, which feels very good.
