I can recommend the Riu Palace, it’s a great hotel. The welcome was superb. We got there at 10.00 pm after a long, tiring 14 hour journey. The transfer from the airport took two hours. Reception was ready for us with a glass of fizz (ok, 2 for me) and we were directed down to the restaurant. There, a solitary table was set up with a fine seafood salad, fruit, bread, and water. All free. It was a nice gesture and helped us wind down. Some reviews have pointed out that there are a lot of steps for some rooms. It is a fair point, the hotel is built into a rocky slope and it would be tricky to put a lift in. We were in room 4113, low down, with sixty steps up to the reception, restaurant, pool and bar area. But it was such a lovely spot, and so peaceful. Okay, quite a few steps involved but, try and see it as exercise! Only the rooms on the lower levels have this issue. All the staff were professional and friendly. The hotel bar was fine and drinks reasonably priced. I got poured a honey rum the size of a builder’s mug of tea. For the first time in my life I begged a waitress to stop pouring. God bless ‘em! I changed my mind five minutes later… We didn’t have an evening meal in the Riu Palace. The cost of the evening buffet was €45 per person, without wine. Generally speaking it was less than half that in most restaurants in Morro Jable and we prefer the varied scene. I’m sure the food would be good if the breakfasts are anything to go by, as the selection there was very impressive.

This is a very good hotel, exceptionally clean with lovely rooms and attentive service. The bedrooms have every provision that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. We booked an ocean view room and it was well worth the extra with a balcony and lovely views of the fabulous beach and ocean. The hotel is built into a rock and it is worth mentioning that most of the rooms are quite a distance from the reception and restaurant and there are a lot of steps, up and down, to reach the facilities. There are lifts but several of these were out of action when we stayed and we did see a number of people who were having difficulty with the long walks involved. Our only disappointment was with the poor standard of entertainment (euro-pop, karaoke standard) and with the dining options. We prefer to be served and we were surprised that dinner each evening was buffet-style. The food was quite good considering the numbers being catered for but by the end of the week were bored with it. There is a table service speciality restaurant but it is very small and it was booked up for the entire week that we were there. This is the only reason that we would not stay here again. If buffet style is your thing then this is about the best we have experienced.

We settled very quickly into the hotel. All staff were very helpful. Our seafront room was very spacious and we had a view of the sea and pool. Our room was on level 1. If you don't want to be troubled by the stairs then ask for a room on level 1 upwards. There are a lot of steps on the lower level rooms. the lifts stopped working when we were there. There is a superb restaurant very close to the hotel and super restaurants in the nearby town along the promenade.

We love this clean and stylish hotel. We stayed for a week at the end of February. This is our third stay. The rooms are spacious and pristinely clean. The food is excellent, good quality and a huge variety. The staff are outstanding, efficient, friendly and happy. The beach is wonderful, we swam in the sea every day.

We are RIU members but this was our first visit to this hotel having always struggled to get in before now. We would definitely return and in fact hope to do so later in the year. The hotel was spotless, welcoming and very well run indeed. The smaller amount of rooms makes a difference and the beach location certainly a draw. We would not fault this hotel at all and look forward to a return trip.

Were here now. The view from the balcony is mesmerising. The room is cleaned and towels and sheets changed regularly. The food is so good we haven't eaten out once. There is so much good, high standard good. Staff are attentive and friendly. The stairs are hard work in the heat so be prepared. Toilets at the beach entrance would be awesome.

Ants in the room, bedbugs on corridors, never seen a hotel with so many steps, small parking area in front of the hotel, no dedicated beach to the hotel, no all inclusive option however… It is the best location at this wonderful white sandy beach and azure water.

Food quality excellent and variety, some food not hot enough. Room, hotel and service excellent and beach perfect. One problem, we had twin beds in a partial sea view room and were told only sea view rooms had king size beds. We would have felt much more comfortable in a king size bed

A great hotel on the fantastic sandy beach of Morro Jable. Our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly cleaned on a daily basis. We stayed for 2 weeks on a half board basis and couldn’t fault the food with plenty to choose from with the choices changing daily. Drinks were reasonably priced, especially for a hotel, and the pours very generous. All staff members were fantastic and friendly. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay more memorable and with a special mention for Nadine, Dani & Monica in the bar and Porto & Mohamed in the restaurant. Thank you, everyone! Our only slight ****** was the €44 charge to use the room safe. Really? C’mon RIU, this should be included! Overall though, this is an excellent hotel and would definitely recommend.
