A very decent place to spend the night. It's very close to one of the vine bridges, which is light up at night sometimes. Take into account that there are VERY limited options to eat out in the area and everything closes at 17:00. It gets dark ans there may be wildlife on the road so driving can be dangerous. And the nearest facilities are far away. So if you want to eat, either make use of the meal options from the ryokan or bring your own bento's. The room was very nice and the bathroom/ toilet areas were clean. Please note that the stairs is quite narrow and steep which may bring a challengeto take a big suitcase upstairs. The staff was very nice and helpfull. With a bit of help from our phones we could communicate that which we did not understand in Japanese and/or English. They pointed out sights to see in the area and lend a flashlight to walk to the bridge at night.

The parking space is right at the door, which is very convenient. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Manteng Bridge. The food in the store is delicious and plentiful, the room has ample space, and there is also a washing machine for use.

It's very close to Iya Manbashi. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Iya Yume Stage. There is a bus stop in front of the door. The location is convenient. The hotel is clean. If you want to eat, you need to order in advance and go to the host opposite the hotel to check in.

I didn’t have high expectations for this price point, but it’s actually better than expected. For example, the public toilets and bathrooms were not used by other guests during the entire trip, so it is of course impossible to not use them. The B&B includes breakfast and dinner. Because of the price, it is definitely not included in the price, but it will definitely be enough. Sightseeing is very convenient, and it is no more than ten minutes' walk from the scenic spots in the picture.

The hotel is near Iyaman Bridge. The scenery outside the room window is beautiful, especially after rain or when there is fog in the morning. Japanese-style housing is clean and well-organized. The service attitude is very good. Dinner on the day is simple and rich, perfect for those who get tired of eating during the trip. The homemade ice cream and desserts are good. But you have to use public baths and toilets.

This is a true, old-style ryokan, and there's no elevator up the long flights of stairs. The rooms are small. Still we enjoyed our stay enormously. It's a family operation, with the matriarch still very much present in the kitchen. Meals were excellent, and the bath was great. The inn is well located with good parking.

We had a great stay at the Iya Valley Kankon Ryokan. It is the most traditional Japanese accommodation that we have stayed in, charming, comfortable & hospitable. The food was delicious & very local, a set menu for breakfast & dinner but lots of tasty little dishes to choose from. Being a small family owned business, we felt very welcome. We would recommend this authentic Japanese accommodation.

We had a great stay in this small ryokan. The staff is very welcoming. We were offered to have dinner at the ryokan, which we luckily accepted also because there were not many dinner options nearby. The dinner was a complete Japanese dining experience, of ocurse with sweet water fish from the nearby river. The room was fine.

For travelers on a tight budget, this is definitely the ideal accommodation in the Iya Valley. Our room was tiny, and we had to leave our suitcases in the hallway. Shared toilet - unfortunately next to our room. The food is good home cooking. The family who run the ryokan is extremely friendly, warm-hearted and helpful.
