The mid-sized inn is moderately priced and good value. Nice hot spring onsen with an indoor and outdoor bath. It was snowing and a long dip in the outside bath was a special treat. Dinner and breakfast were served at the dining area in a private room. The dinner was a fabulous kaiseki style course with much of the menu from local vegetables, mushrooms and fresh water fish. There was a small museum just behind the ryokan with modern art and Korean antique porcelain, and an eclectic collection of several other paintings. The museum's owner is from the small mountain village and the owner of the famous 'Tenichi' tempura chain. A enjoyable museum worth the visit while going on a walk. The service was very good and appears the two main managers were husband/wife ensuring you feel welcomed and looked after. As we were getting ready to check out a gentleman from the ryokan was already out in the cold and snow, removing snow from our car windows.

It is located in a location overlooking Tanigawadake. It is a ryokan with a nostalgic atmosphere, but it has been renewed and is clean and beautiful. Above all, the employees are highly conscious of hospitality. Even though I couldn't apply for the nationwide discount due to the site I applied for, I was able to make a reservation again and the discount was applied. It's a regular plan, but there was a lot of dinner and breakfast, and the taste was delicious. In the morning, all the cars in the parking lot were cleared of snow and were ready to leave. I would like to use it again when I come nearby.

I can't help but compare it to Senjuan, but I can say that it is a good accommodation for the price. In the room, there was a handwritten message on a camellia leaf with my last name and thank you for visiting. The view from the room is not very good. We are doing our best to serve konjac by the hearth and miso soup. The fresh juices were very tasty. When you arrive, your socks will be washed. The water in the bath was lukewarm for me, and even though it was a hot spring, my body didn't warm up, so I enjoyed the massage chair in the relaxation room after the bath, which made my body feel better. The rice was delicious.

和洋ツイン客室(マッサージチェア付き）306号室に宿泊。客室はハンガー掛けが不便で、暑さ対策のエアコン・扇風機・うちわがないのが最大の欠点。 館内には山岳写真ギャラリー(一見の価値あり）・(若い人は走れメロスしか知らないだろうが）太宰治ギャラリー・(とても素敵な）リフレッシュルームなどがあって施設面は充実し、さらにロビー囲炉裏端では夕方の玉こん・夜のジュース・朝の味噌汁などのサービスがあって申し分なし。 源泉鐘流しの大浴場は雰囲気があっていいが、岩の露天風呂からは眺望は期待できず。また脱衣場の貴重品ロッカーの数が少なすぎ。 紙ランチョンマットはしゃれていて、落ち着いた個室食事処での朝夕食はシニア世代には十分満足だった。
