I paid a little more to get a nice window view of the Mekong River, but the pool side garden view of the river was open to any guest. The room was large and comfortable. The shower was nice and hot. Food and coffee are a little far away, but the owners called a tuk tuk for me which was there in 5 minutes.

beware some of the Tripadvisor pictures are not Sofa Gallery Hotel. The Sofa Gallery is somewhat dirty, breakfast is terrible, rooms are small. The bathroom to our room was on the balcony. Sofa Gallery is run down. When I asked for coffee to wash down the breakfast I was told only instant coffee. I asked about the coffee and was told it has not worked in a couple years. I asked for anything to was down the breakfast and was told I could buy bottled water. The pool water 1/4 to 1/3 full, tv didnt work. Rundown.

I have stayed here many times now and am always happy, safe, and comfortable here. Breakfast is good and the lady working there in the morning is very accommodating to requests. Front desk personnel are also outstanding. Location very good and one street away from activity so much quieter than other nearby hotels. It's not a 5-star hotel so have reasonable expectations. Very good value for the money. Highly recommend.

Deluxe suite is badly exaggerated. It's quiet, very quiet and nothing going on there. You can see the Mekong, but that's all. After Nong Kai to Thasad Market Street to Nong Kai, walk 45 minutes. Nothing works there without a car.
The accommodation is otherwise ok. Some time ago, someone with a passion for detail lent a hand there.
