Kali Escandón Mexico City

Mexico City|1.86km from Museo Casa de La Bola
Overall we had a great stay here. I’ll try to summarise some key points: + lovely helpful staff who didn’t mind us not speaking Spanish and helped us with eg making a dinner booking + excellent breakfast - hot foods changed each day and were mostly delicious + good location - just south of Condesa, only a few blocks walk away from the bars and restaurants there, felt like a nice, quiet, safe neighbourhood + excellent value + the bed was massive and really comfortable with decent sheets + lots of mirrors in the room including a full length + we went for a room with a whirlpool bath - The bath itself looked dated, but it was clean and nice and the jets strong! + the room and hotel in general were clean and tidy. Some relatively minor points I only include in case they help others: - there was a nespresso maker in the room but it leaked too much to be usable and only one cup was provided (we were two and had booked a double occupancy room so this was a bit odd). The capsule I used wasn’t replaced, although I didn’t say anything as I don’t really drink coffee. Tea bags were provided but I don’t know how you make tea with a nespresso machine (?!) so that seemed a bit weird. A mini fridge in the room would’ve been a nice touch. - there was a water dispenser in the executive suite where our room was located but it didn’t work for the duration of our stay. The hotel provided plastic bottled water in the room and replenished these daily, but we are trying to cut our use of single use plastics so ended up buying 10L bottles from the nearby OXXO store to refill our own bottles - the blackout curtains in the room were effective but the window in the jacuzzi bath bit of the room had no window covering so the light came in from there (no door between bedroom and jacuzzi bath) - some road noise (but probably to be expected as it is a city centre hotel!)! The only other thing I will mention - and this is entirely specific to the timing of our stay - is that the bar/restaurant/room service were closed when we arrived on New Year’s Eve (and the front desk advised that most of the things in the area would also be closed that night so we just had to go straight to bed) and again closed for much of New Year’s Day. In fact a lot of CDMX was closed or out of action on New Year’s Day itself so just be aware of that if booking your trip on those dates! Overall we had a pleasant stay here, it was very good value for the price if you want a base for exploring the city and the staff were lovely and accommodating. I would come back again.

Bel Air Unique Mexico City WTC, Trademark by Wyndham

Mexico City|2.53km from Museo Casa de La Bola
The location is good if you want to go to WTC (World Trade Center) I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the end of August 2007 because I was going to sign an agreement at WTC in Mexico City. The hotel is clean, well decorated and the service staff is good. The best place for this hotel is just across the street from WTC, not expensive, and free breakfast. Of course this hotel is not completely ideal, the hotel does not have restaurants, room service and bar. You don't need these... You can see next door to the hotel Crowne Plaza, These two hotels are actually connected. Five steps from the Holiday Inn elevator to the lobby of Crowne Plaza, where there is a bar and several restaurants. Better thing, across the street, there is a pharmacy in the opposite direction of WTC, a convenience store (Carolina beer can 0.6 dollars) and a Mexican restaurant (Tortas Beto). Really Mexican and cheap. I went to Tortas Beto for dinner several nights and loved it. WTC had restaurants and cinemas, of course. The hotel is a block from one of Mexico City's main thoroughfares - Rebels Avenue (Avenida Insurgentes) - where you can eat more restaurants and have more entertainment. Anyway, we returned to this hotel. After the first door is the gym, with three threaded scythes and a gym bike right in front of the breakfast restaurant. It's funny because if you see someone exercising, you're a little guilty about having breakfast (I didn't see a single person when I went there). They have free high-speed Internet (WiFi) and you can find signals at Crowne Plaza. There are ice machines on the 3rd, 5th and 7th floors (did you think of Coronas ?)Holiday Inn beds are very comfortable, there are many pillows that no one cares about, and the room is spacious. But I have seen them have small rooms too. No noise bothers me, but I can hear some TV when I go downstairs to the lobby Sound. It takes 16 minutes to ride from hotel to airport, but it was a Saturday afternoon. In Mexico City, after 5pm on weekdays, you must plan at least 80 minutes from hotel to airport. Another suggestion: The hotel is in the heart of low-cost Mexican routes (interjet), so you can often see people in the lobby waiting for the Toluca(TLC) airport free haul (not MEX). So if you have time to visit other cities in Mexico, stay at Holiday Inn Hotel is great. Short haulage takes you to the airport want to enjoy free haulage You have to have an Interjet ticket. I hope this review will help you. Please share your experience too. Sometimes we are angry at sharing bad experiences, but it is more helpful to guide other tourists to share. Regards!

If you like having a refrigerator to cool your drinks off or even put some cold cuts and cheese this is the place for you. There is also a electric hot stove with two burners. And a coffee makers and plates and utensils with drinking glasses. The ceiling lamp shade hangs low enough over the dining table that a few times I accidentally bumped my head into it. I suggest you bring some soap or shower wash like Dove to use when you shower because you only get one bar of soap to do everything. Also I like to hang up my clothes so I took 12 metal hangers with me. The closet has 5 hangers not enough for me. I stayed here close to three weeks. So I needed to have a good change of clothing. The hotel is a few steps from two restaurants that open 8 am weekday and 9 am weekends until around 5 pm. Basic meal with refillable coffee -the waiter comes and pours more-- will cost you 60 pesos about US$3.00. The bed is very comfortable. Best sleep I had in years. The block is quiet. Safe area. You see the police in their cruiser making rounds. Two blocks walk south then left is Calle Rio Lerma where all the action is such as restaurants and bars. When I first arrived i was able to dine in. Unfortunately the Covid-19 count went up so food was only ”llevar” to carry out. There is a range of food prices depending on what you are looking for. At Calle Nilo a couple blocks over is a very good taco shop with decent prices but like I say it's too bad I could no longer go in there to sit and eat. On an early Sunday morning the hotel arranged a car service pick up for me that cost $230 pesos about US$11.50. Took 20 minutes to arrive at the airport leaving at 5:30 AM. It's helpful to brush up on your Spanish because when you speak to staff they will drift off from English back to Spanish. So be prepared. Staff is a very great set of people who are helpful. My room was clean. It's located about a 15-minute walk from the Sevila subway Line 1. The fare on the train is currently 5 pesos. On the bus it's 6 pesos. I suggest you buy a fare card from the machine. You can always recharge the card either at the machine or with the clerk. If you recharge at the clerk you need to put the card up against the card reader-- I had no idea that is what she was telling me until someone who worked there came over and showed me to place it against the reader. When you're at the bus stop you can also recharge the card. Just stick the card in then it would read the balance. Then you can use a bill or coins. Then press recharga.. Don't do like me and make a mistake where I accidentally hit cancelar instead of recharge then the machine took my 50-peso bill and spit out a receipt. That's robbery. Where I live if you don't get service the machine spits back out your bill or coins. So beware you're warned.even though it's only $2.50 it's still money stolen brazenly. I added a lot of extra information because you will need these and your stay will be much more pleasant. Plus it might

Overall i had a great stay even if i did not use all the facilities in the room for a longer stay ( Dishwasher, cooking plates, washing machine etc) The , room , service , staff and food were excellent throughout - They never hesitated to go the extra mile to make my stay memorable Though the location is not the very best in town, it is an uber ride away from all you want to visit
Be Mate Condesa Hipodromo

I stayed in another location for part of the trip and that BeMate hotel was amazing. This particular one, BeMate Condesa, was not. Although close to Condesa, the actual neighborhood is further and not nice. The hotel offers nothing but the room. No cleaning service and no breakfast. There are no restaurants near by. The windows are terrible and you hear street noise all day and night. It is across the street from a university so there is always noise. Construction is so light that I could hear other hotel guests which seemed to be university students so the noise level was quite bothersome at night.

There is a fast bus at the doorstep of the hotel, which is very convenient for the city centre and bus station. There is a BBQ restaurant next door to the hotel worth recommending. The room was very clean and the hotel has a swimming pool. Recommended
Hotel Bonn

We started our road trip with this hotel for 3 nights and we are not disappointed. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The only bemol is that for those who like me are of hot chocolate, they don't use it ^^ and they don't have any confectionery, but butter is to be asked. The rooms were very clean, well equipped (TV, dish, toilet, shower, toilet...) Negative points that we noted: It remains quite far from the center and we had to move to Uber for some places, This is not a hotel to choose if you want to walk
