Montespina Park Hotel

Beautiful, peaceful location away from the busy city centre, but 29 minute walk to the Mostra D’Oltremare conference centre. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. My room was spacious, bed comfortable and the terrace outside was welcoming,as were the pastries and little snacks at the bar. The hotel cats were charming company when I sat outside. I ate dinner in the hotel twice, the grilled prawn salad and the beef tagliata were tasty. Breakfast is continental style and good variety. My only very minor comment is the bathtub was small. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy the pool and the lovely terraces.
Punta Molino Beach Resort & Thermal Spa

The Italians that run this hotel really know to do it,…of course the linens on the bed were soft, pressed and comfortable, the rooms were big and spacious, and the food was spectacular, and then combining this with an outstanding spa treatment, you’ll feel like royalty …..it’s the total package not to forget to mention the thermal pool and the private beach right there. The location is wonderful and it’s walking distance to the shops…..if you want a fantastic all around resort to stay …stay at Punto Molina in Ischia and feel like Royalty.

The front desk staff at this hotel was unhelpful and rude at best. They made us feel as if our stay was an inconvenience to them. Especially the older man and tall woman with long brown hair. Anytime we asked a question or for help the answer was, “ no “ I had three rooms that I reserved well in advance. Upon check in they overlooked the front stairs and parking lot. I asked for just one room to be changed. The answer I received was a flat uncaring, no. She didn’t even check or care to help. I said no? Can you at least check? She agin replied with a smirk, no. Frustrating at best. Then they speak Italian in front of you to each other and laugh. They did this many times. But not when we were with people who understood. One relative called them out on it and they made like they didn’t know what she was talking about. Our stay didn’t get much better with the front desk throughout our stay. They were all equally unhelpful and can definitely use a course in customer service, manners and hospitality. The saving grace was Dario at the pool, Pasquale and Alessandro. They all went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The front desk staff can use to take some lesions from them. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job cleaning rooms and keeping the hotel polished. The rooms - the rooms are a bit small and there is limited space for clothing. We had to leave a lot in our suitcases as there are no dressers. For two people sharing a room it’s difficult. The shower is very small and odd. The shower is a perfect square shape and sliding glass doors really don’t leave much room for you to move around. Tall and hefty people will have a very difficult time navigating in it. The air conditioning is terrible and the water smells like sulfur as do the hallways. The room only has one key! This makes it very difficult when there are more than one person in the room. They encourage you to leave the key at the front desk so it’s always available for whoever is in your room but we didn’t feel comfortable doing that. Plus this is 2022! If you must use an actual turn key, at least make 2 for each room? The pool closes at 6 the sky bar closes at 12. The wait staff at both places are amazing. The pool area is small and no frills but it served the purpose. We asked for music one day and Dario happily obliged. He was so wonderful kind and we found him to be the shining star of the hotel. The breakfast they offer is terrible. Eggs and hot dogs? I’ll pass. Canned fruit salad, assorted croissants and breads, Cheese slices and ham. Because of the terrible breakfast we never ate dinner at the hotel. We did do lunch by the pool and for pizza sandwiches and salads it was fine. Our stay was good because of the people we were with. We were able to make our time there bearable. The servers I mentioned were memorable and saved our trip. Would we return or recommend this hotel ? No I could not. Unless you had to be in the area and had no other choice

Wonderful location 5 minutes in car from the gravels, GENTILISMO staff, abundant breakfast and the swimming pool from that touch more than, after a day of oil to visit the Pompei cables, you are fully regenerated. Free parking in the structure, excellent Wi-Fi, shower chromatography and, repeat, excellent staff!!! Recommended!!!
Grand Hotel de la Ville

The Grand Hotel de La Ville , is a very friendly and comfortable hotel well situated only 5 - 10 minutes walk to the centre of Sorrento. We arrived early and were very grateful that our room was ready at 11 a.m . We really appreciated that our request for an early check-in was able to be accomodated. If they couldn't there was a safe place we could've left our luggage if we had needed to. Our room was a Premier sea view on the fourth floor affording excellent views over The Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. The views from the 5th floor and the rooftop bar are even more impressive. The room had everything you'd need with plenty of storage space. The king-size bed was very comfortable with the best pillows I've rested my head on in a long time. There are plenty of power sockets including a multi-connector phone charger and a UK plug socket . All the staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. It was my wifes birthday whilst we were there and the hotel generously left a bottle of sparkling wine in our room for her on the day, a lovely and much appreciated gesture. We would definitely recommend this great hotel and hope to return one day when back in Sorrento.

We visited in August '23 for a week on the half board basis and had nothing but the best experience. The staff are exceptionally helpful and accommodated our various needs from leaving meals in our room when we were missing the dinner, researched routes and transport for us to visit Pompei and Ischia, and advised us on night life venues. The cleaning staff are doing an exceptional job! We had crisp-clean towels and linen every day. There was no speck of dust in the room and we found our stuff tidied every day. The bathroom was squeaky clean, the swimming pool looked-after. A special shout out must go for Mattia, Pasqualo and Chinzia for their personal touch, helpfulness and professionalism. There is absolutely nothing about the hotel that prompts an EBI hence five stars is fitting. We found that going half board was a good deal although most guests choose to eat dinners out. Ours consisted of a generous starter, the main and a drink. The a' la carte menu included a fairly comprehensive menu cooked to order. Lot's of sea food which was ideal for two red meat non-eaters. We thoroughly recommend staying here. Marta and Shahina
