I've visited the Hotel during a short business trip and was surprised when I have entered the building. From inside, the building was very nice and cozy. The staff was very nice and very friendly, a big, huge thank you for their hospitality. I was afraid that there will be noise from the main street beside the Hotel, but I was very surprised that I could not hear any of the cars nor the Trucks which were passing alongside. The Design of the rooms were adequate and comfortable. I personally have problems with pillows which cause me always sleepless Nights, but here they were perfect. The bed itself was nice and soft. Breakfast could be a bit better with a little more choice, but was tasty and fulfilling. All in all, I would recommend this property for everyone on short term visits.

Ein ganz großes Lob an das gesamte Team des InterCity Hotels Saarbrücken unter der Führung der kompetenten Betriebsleitung Herr Körner. Von der Angebotserstellung zum persönlichen Empfang vor Ort war alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Hervor zu heben ist der überaus freundliche Service, die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals und das Gefühl, als Gast gesehen und wahrgenommen zu werden. Uns wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt und unsere Gruppe mit 75 Personen war rundum zufrieden, was bei einer solchen Personenanzahl wirklich als Kompliment zu verstehen ist. Viele wollen privat sogar wieder kommen. Nicht zu vergessen ist das Housekeeping. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer muss hier noch einmal explizit erwähnt werden, da ich als Ansprechpartnerin durchweg positives Feedback erhalten habe. Liebe Gäste im InterCity oder in anderen Hotels: Auch die Gastgeber sind nur Menschen und geben unter dem Aspekt des enormen Fachkräftemangels ihr Bestes, das sollte man wirklich anerkennen und wert schätzen. I usually book my rooms via **********. In their listings they list not just the price but also the ratings from their readers as well as the TripAdvisor rating. What made me notice this was the Superb rating and the affordable price of $70. When I'm traveling on business solo, I look for as nice a hotel as possible for under US$100/night - and that's not too far from where I am having meetings. The Leonardo fit that bill quite well. Located in Volklingen, a suburban town about 16 kilometers from Saarbrucken (my meeting was in central Saarbrucken), it's a short drive away. The town of Volklingen is an old industrial town with a large steel mill and a UNESCO Heritage Site within the town limits. Otherwise, it's rather sleepy compared to Saarbrucken. When I arrived in town at 9:30pm it was pretty much quiet and asleep. I don't imagine there's much nightlife going on here, if that's what you're looking for. The hotel is on the hillside and is decorated in a modern contemporary fashion. It's nicely done but if you're looking for an old German setting, this is not it. The lobby is spacious and the bar and restaurant are just off the reception desk and by the elevators. It seems like this hotels cater to business clientele because it's the usual scene of business travelers hanging out at the bar having a drink or two.

Positively noticed: many free parking, friendly staff, cleanliness, room size (Junior suite), charge station for e-vehicles free, location. Negatively we noticed: if you want to have the card for the e-loading station, you need to deposit EUR 50. The loading station is directly at the hotel. The card is needed to start the loading process. You are back at the reception 2 minutes later, where you will get the EUR 50 back. That doesn't make any sense. In the Junior Suite there is a Senseo machine. There are 4 capsules with it. If you want more, you have to pay for it. This happened to us for the first time. At a junior suite I expect the capsules to be renewed every day, free of charge. I also pay more for this for the room. The hotel is at all very business-friendly. Just before arrival you get an email with the offer of upgrades, of course against payment, e.g. early arrival, late departure etc. When we arrived we faced the hotel having a “Green week” and we were asked, Because we were only a few days there to refrain from the room cleaning. Of course voluntary. We have been grateful to reject it. Instead of upgrading, we should have been informed about it in advance, then we might have promised. But when checking in to be attacked with it, we didn't find it okay. The food was very good for our taste once, once it tasted us less. But there are everyone different.

It's very good. It's worth recommending. It's very good. My friends like it very much. Next time, I'll take my family to check in. Breakfast is rich, transportation is convenient, and the couple's attitude is also very good.
