Everything from the location to the bed is perfect. The room decor is beautifully modern. An enormous amount of thought has gone into the hotels fit out. The room isnât huge but itâs great for 2 people. Located In a quiet side street walking distance to everything that Fitzroy and Collingwood have to offer. Lots of trams close by to get you into town or into the burbs in minutes. Iâd not hesitate to stay at the standard X again and would recommend it to anyone who loves to stay out of the CBD but still close to bars clubs restaurants transport and everything Melbourne can offer a visitor.

The place was comfortable but it does not clean the whole apartment during our stay.. you have to remind them if we can. Our sink was full of dirty cups and has to do ourselves when we return late.
Apart from that, we have a pleasant stay..the staffs are very helpful.

Overall, very satisfied with the stay. The room I got was pretty spacious. There was CCTV on the room floor and hotel guests can only access the level that they stay. The hotel is also within walking distance/free tram ride from many tourist sights. Would have been better if they have a drinking water refill station.

A new and charming hotel, in the district of Docklands in Melbourne. The room was comfortable and specially clean, great king bed, nice shower with good amenities. Amazing infinity pool with a great view, sauna and a equiped fitness center. Location is good if you need to go to the Convention centre since itâs only about a 6 or 7 minute flat surface walk. The young woman from Michigan at concierge was SUPER helpful and friendly. And the check in staff were kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Room was a good size, king bed was comfortable, lots of pillows and a down duvet made the bed nice to get into. The window views werenât anything special as we saw some buildings and a freeway. Housekeeping did a great job with taking garbage away, replacing towels and always made sure we had water, cream and coffee/espresso. Room came with toothbrushes, mouthwash, qtips, shower gel, bar soap, shampoo and conditioner. There was a hairdryer, fridge and a shower with a rain type shower head. Front desk has adapters available if you didnât bring one. Over all it was a good stay Not a lot of stores (grocery or convenience) in the area but it was super easy to get an Uber.

I had an amazing experience staying at the Mercure Doncaster! Firstly, the room was beautiful, clean, and fit for my short-stay business purposes. What I was most impressed by however was the customer service! My colleague and I needed to find a last minute venue for a business meeting with international clients, and the staff at Mercure very kindly accommodated us with one of their available meeting rooms free of charge. The room was spacious, well-organised, modern and the technology was extremely easy to use! The staff support and amenities allowed for a seamless experience which we were very grateful for. A special thank you to Isabella, the Reception Manager who saved the day (even offering to extend my checkout time to suit the time of our meeting).

JJINGThere are breakfast baskets such as bread and cereals. Fruits and wine from your own winery are welcome. The car is parked next to the child. Look carefully at the letter when you check in. It is a little far from the train. Hours, if you want to take the train at 10:30 am, it is recommended to go out before 8:30, because they will run into their morning peak. There are walking directions, and it is wonderful to make a circle at sunset.
GGuest UserWould I recommend Holiday Inn little Collins...yes I would...but there were a few negatives to our stay Location is excellent close to Sth Cross Station and the free tram network. Breakfast included is a bonus and the selection was great. Hot sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, toast, cereals, pastries and mini muffins as well as the milk, orange juice, tea and coffee (with barista made at a cost by the reception/bar located in the same area. Staff were welcoming, helpful and pleasant. On the negative side I must add that during our 4 night stay housekeeping came the first morning. After that nothing so our wet towels sat waiting for collection. When calling for clean towels I was directed to collect them from reception. The next day we encountered the same issue...after leaving the room most of the day we returned again to find housekeeping hadn't been. This time when I called reception they organized to send a crew up pretty quickly. I expect the main reason behind this was they were fully booked with Manchester united fans in for the weekends game but as a mum the occasional opportunity to actually have someone tidy and replace towels is a novelty that I take full advantage of so was disappointed in this part of our stay. Beds and linen were clean but again housekeeping let us down with the floors...carpet had definitely not been cleaned in a while ...our socks picked up various dark long hair and bark/dirt..gross. One last issue was the invoice received for our stay..all good and as expected however $50.75 more was actually taken out of my visa. Having to make another phone call to have this explained was ridiculous. It's a bond...totally understand and it's refundable after the room is checked BUT why not add a small note to the invoice explaining this and save the guest and your team time explaining the extra charge?? Overall it was a decent stay and I would recommend but the issues above need to be ironed out quickly.
GGuest UserEven I just spent one night in the hotel, my experience was really good, the service was amazing as the guy from reception is very friendly. The room was smaller than expected but clean that is the most important for me, 7 mins walking distance from the southern station, very convenient location.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel has the worst service of any Hyatt I have ever stayed at. The overall staff was absent-minded, and no one ever answered the front desk phone or room service. Several times we had to run downstairs to communicate with the front desk. There are no bathrobes in the hotel, which is the first time I have encountered this.
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Melbourne near the Spanish Quarter, Bourke Street Mall, and other shopping precincts. The staff are friendly and efficient at check-in. The rooms are good in size with modern amenities and comfortable beds. There is a kettle and small fridge. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, so if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There is no rail to hold onto when getting in or out, which makes it dangerous, especially as it gets slippery. There is a pool and gyn which were modern and accessible. The room we had faced into the mezzanine of the hotel so you dont get any light from outside, which was strange. The room was very quiet and had a good air conditioner. Overall, we would stay here again, although the lack of being able to see outside wasn't ideal, and if you stayed for more than one night, it could be an issue.
GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
BBeijingLilyhuanqiushenghuoChecked in for the second time during transitđThe experience was very goodâ¤ď¸The hotel has an excellent location + first-class service + comfortable environment and facilities. The breakfast is also very deliciousđI will stay there again next time if I have the chanceđ
GGuest UserOur stay was OK in as much as the bed and bathroom were acceptable for the price. - when the price is $125 or so. The trick is while they advertise $125 a night, Friday and Saturday night the prices goes off the scale. So read your proposal, even if you're in a rush. There are lot better rooms around at around $200 or more. We stayed 4 nights and extended another - a Saturday. (Family matters nearby). The gentleman said $120 for the extra night but when I got my statement it was $189! It was then I realised I was charged that for Friday too. Re-educated in touch and go and not bothering with the receipt. Sure these prices are not exorbitant in this day an age - for a reasonable establishment. While in the room the basics were reasonable, the room had a toaster and microwave but no bread plates or cutlery, only small bowls. Asked at reception and was give some disposable cutlery and pasta bowls . Great for toast! Apparently people keep stealing them or breaking them. So charge them and have something reasonable for reasonable people! The door didn't latch either without a heft with your shoulder and then caught only by millimetres. The chain was on and the chairs in place, don't worry. The room was only serviced once during our stay after we asked. The garbage truck came at 4.00Am or so and emptied multiple skips just nearby (on the premises) with all the beeping and backing, hydraulic whining, and diesel roaring you'd probably accept at $120 odd dollars a night, but really? My partner was ready to walk in the first five minutes with her usual abuse of my miserliness. As you might have guessed, the pricing issue is what really gets up nose. The rest you probably expect and accept for a cheaper deal. But next time we're near Lilydale we may well pay $189 but we'll be looking for $189 value.
GGuest UserIt was the long weekend in Melbourne and we had to wait for quite a while to check in. Check in time was 3pm but we only managed get our room after waiting for about 1-1.5 hours at the lobby. It was nice that they offered champagne to all the guests waiting at the lobby though. They also had to give us another room (a bit of a downgrade from level 9 to level 8 facing different directions) as our room was not ready. The porter, Oscar, was very helpful and friendly. When we got to our room, there was an extra bed and he helped us move the bed out and everything back to where it supposed to be effectively. The room was clean but there were only 2 pillows (supposedly 4) on the bed. Called reception to get more pillows but got told that they will try to source some as theyâre running low on pillow at the time :/ Kind of unbelievable for a 5-star hotel. I also later found out that the electric curtain in the bathroom was not working and the night light lamp was dying and flashing. There were no soft drinks or snacks at the minibar so if you want something simple to drink or eat at night, youâll need to order room service + a delivery fee of $8. Overall, the location is fantastic, really close to the shops and restaurants we wanted to go. The hotel is quite basic for a 5 star hotel - thereâs no coffee machine, hair straightener available for hire or firmer pillows for use. Having said that, the location really beats everything and Iâll probably book this again when I travel to Melbourne next time.
GGuest UserThe live situation of the accommodation is reasonable in Melbourne for such a price. The service at the front desk of the hotel is very good. The towel will be thoughtfully windy.
