Had seven nights in Melbourne. First three in Mercure Welcome. Not impressed. Moved to Citiclub and it’s great! Clean, much larger with a tub. Great bed and pillows. Plenty of living space and a great bathroom. Easy walk to everything and lovely staff. Best thing is hardly any visible people so easy to move around get lifts etc.

We didn’t look to the hotel for more than just a bed for the night, so didn’t check out the other facilities. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the room was set up in a modern and pleasant way. The room has most of what you need but it is very small, with very little space to even set down a suitcase. I would have preferred access to a full size ironing board rather than a desktop one.

Stayed here over two nights with my partner and we both were VERY happy with the stay. The ONLY thing unfortunately that we did not like was the fact that the bed sheets had several blood stains on them which was highly concerning. I called them for a replacement which they were HAPPY to do however i figured since i'm just staying for 1 more night i would use the extra blanket stored away in the room in hopes that no one really uses it and that it is clean throughout because it also gets washed after every stay. Unfortunately even that was kind of dirty with dried up white crumbs on the fabric (kind of looks like dried up dough). By then, it was already too late to call for a replacement and had to settle with that. The oven also could not close completely and i had to put a chair against and under the handle bar to keep it closed. Other than the blanket cleanliness and oven door, everything else was perfect. My partner and i absolutely loved the place and despite the negative aspects of the things mentioned, do keep in mind that the hotel staff were more than happy to fix the issue and were very friendly, which i did not take them up on the offer as i did not want to hassle them for just 1 more nights stay. Therefore, if you decide to stay here, just make sure you check everything and request anything before the after-hour times. Additionally, their customer service was also very friendly as previously mentioned. They also allowed a late check-out by 1 hour, free of charge which i really appreciated. They were very patient and exceptionally welcoming every time i spoke to them. The check in and check out process were all quick and easy and i would highly recommend a stay here. It's pricing is great as well and they are close to the CBD!

The Deluxe room we were allocated was possibly the worst view you could get for the most expensive price you could pay. We were allocated a room ( 210) directly opposite the lifts and in the room out view consisted of overlooking a persons apartment and as they were having drinks on the balcony and we were maybe 2metres away from that building there was zero privacy . The curtains were very fine materiel so in order to have some distance between us and them we were forced to keep the heavy drapes closed all day and night . This made the small room very claustrophobic, the windows don’t appear to be doubled glazed so on the lower levels you can hear the bins being emptied and the general rough and tumble of the lower laneways and the residents in the adjacent building having late night drinks . When we enquired about moving rooms we were offered a room two doors down . The annoying thing was they said they were fully booked so there was no rooms on higher floors we could move too . A quick check on Wotif revealed that there were actually rooms available that you could book so there were vacancies , but l guess it was better to hold them open to get top dollar rather than to accommodate current guests who’d paid upfront 2months prior . I would have moved current guests who had a legitimate concern if it had been me making the decision as a gesture of support, but l guess they weren’t to concerned because we’d paid already but that type of contempt for guests who chose to stay in good faith wears thin . Not a pleasant stay wouldn’t recommend and will be happy for a refund !

pros: Good situation, Convenient transportation nearby. cons: Maybe cause of detergent or disinfectant of bed sets, I felt my skin was itchy that never happened the hotels I lived before. After I lay down in the bed for 20mins, the itchy feeling came. When I went out, no itchy feeling came. We three people lived in this hotel, I was the first person to feel that. lateron, other two felt like I was. Alo, one of staffs at the front desk is not professional, my room number is 339, I said three thirty nine, he didn't know; I said double three nine, he didn't get it ether and he said I said wrong number. I stay in hotels A LOT! But except for one other occasion, I've never bothered to leave reviews. But this place is one of the more questionable hotels I've stayed at for several reasons. The hotel: - they charged my credit card the full fee a day BEFORE I checked in. They have a 24 hr cancellation period with minimal one night charge yet they still took it upon themselves to charge me before I actually checked in - very unethical - they want a photo of government issued ID. Weird, with all the crazy data breaches occurring, it's recommended private entities DO NOT store this unnecessary data, yet they still expected a copy. I didn't provide it, just let them sight it upon check in - the pics used to promote the apartments are stretched out and misleading. The actual apartment is small, very small if you consider the costs incurred - photos online make it look like there is a bathtub, (and when I called the hotel to check, the person I spoke to told me there was a bathtub) but there actually isn't any which is VERY inconvenient when travelling with a companion who can only use a tub (for accessibility reasons) - they don't do housekeeping every day. You can ask for fresh towels but goodluck getting a vacuum or dirty bin emptied. The actual apartment - there is no ducted air conditioning. On a hot day (was 35° when I checked in) I needed to blast the AC at 18° (we froze in the living area) just so cool air can seep into the bedroom and cool it down so we can sleep - the actual apartment was very dirty. Tiles had previous occupants hair on the floor, carpet is stained in multiple locations, glass doors and outside balcony railing dirty with hand prints and smudges - minimal crockery and cutlery provided. Only one drinking glass provided - no tea towel provided - phone in room not set up. Had to call reception from my mobile to report issues - oddly there are very few electrical ports in the living area. Difficult to charge devices - there is no shelving in the wardrobe, and it's difficult to tidy anything up or pack things away. Only one storage shelf and you need a ladder to access it - the railing for the wardrobe is so high, one needs to be over 7 foot to use it - to access the bathroom, one needs to go through the bedroom so it's really hard to have one person stay up while another sleeps - the bathroom doesn't have a drain so any access water needs to be mopped with the towels to avoid a slip hazard (problematic as they only give you 2 towels and don't do daily room service) - there are NO clothes hooks in the bathroom The positives: Overall the staff were pleasant and friendly. Every staff member I spoke to in person was hospitable, helpful and very kind. The blockout blinds were good and the sound proofing was great. They also accommodated late check out. I felt very disappointed as I travel to Melbourne monthly and was very disappointed to pay premium costs for accommodation but get what I consider inadequate facilities. I'd only recommend s

3rd time staying at Quest New Quay and it was fantastic. It's such a perfect location right on Docklands. Super clean room, bed was very cosy and comfy. Everything you need is convenient and in good order. I really have nothing to complain about! The staff were very friendly and check in and out was fast. This is my go-to accommodation when staying in Melbourne because it's simply perfect every time.

This is a really good quality hotel in a nice part of Melbourne. We are Accor Plus members but this night was booked using Emirates points. Accor still gave us a a top floor room with a stunning view and the usual free drink vouchers, which I didn't expect since I didn't book with them. The room was clean with the aforementioned good view and had every thing you need for a short stay. Improvements would be a coffee machine instead of simply a kettle, and a better Chromecast as the one we had just wouldn't work. These are minor issues though. Lifts were very slow, as only one seemed to be operating. Breakfast was efficient and tasty, although the included coffee could be improved and the extra charge coffee was too cold to be enjoyable. All in all an excellent hotel to stay at if you need to stay in the South Wharf end of Melbourne, and we will certainly stay again.

Not recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy. Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections. Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment. None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests. FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building. The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful. In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross. I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind. The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.

Stayed for a week during one of the busiest times of the year for Melbourne - AFL Grand Final week. We had 2 rooms. Property was in a great location - so central with trams on your doorstep and walking distance to places like Fed Square, Sealife Aquarium, Crown Complex, DFO, Burke Street Mall and the free City Circle tram. Rooms were clean and a good size with a little kitchenette which was handy. One room had a larger bathroom then the other but it was still more then adequate. We arrived very early before check in and were able to store our luggage while we went out for the day. On the ground floor was a small food court with a few different cuisines and a couple of good basic “cafe styles” which served good coffee and breakfasts. Would stay here again. Only minor complaints would be that one of our rooms wasn’t ready when we checked in (and we had flown the midnight horror so really was looking forward to a lie down lol) and we had to wait for it a couple of hours BUT as said before it was GF week so they were very busy. And one of the rooms was a bit more “tired” then the other but still more then adequate. I am nit picking really. We enjoyed our stay here.
