The hotel is a few steps from the Santa Fé Shopping Center and about 200 meters from the Oviedo Shopping Center. There are many restaurants nearby such as Andrés Carne de Res and others. The breakfast is very complete with all kinds of juices and fruits, and we also had dinner one night and the food was exquisite. We didn't use the pool, because it was a bit cool, nor did we use the gym, which looked very complete.

honestly the room was not clean sheets had stains. toilet had stains. bed was super itschy. really disappointing. the food was fine the bell man super nice the room service delivery super nice. the woman at the gym terribly rude.

Our experience at this hotel was not the best. Both my husband and I love to travel, and part of that is finding a hotel with a comfortable bed to sleep on. The mattress is so stiff that the first night was absolutely horrible. In the morning we woke up and asked the receptionist to see if they had some kind of pillow top to make it more comfortable and they were super nice trying to accommodate our request. Even though they put a very thin mattress top we were extremely uncomfortable, to the point that every single night we tossed and turned. The hotel is in a great area but has no views of the mountains. The breakfast is included but it was ok overall. Parking is included as well. The staff was very friendly but we honestly wish we would’ve stayed somewhere else.

Location was the key .

Disappointing stay in an amazing city at what could be a great hotel if management tried. We spent several nights at this NH, and have stayed at other NH properties in Europe in recent years. The NH Medellin was a letdown especially for the price. A prime example is New Year's Eve, we returned from a dinner out at 11:30 pm to the hotel hoping to get some glasses of champagne and celebrate. The main (only) bar in the hotel was closed, so we went to the restaurant on the second floor. There we were met with overworked staff trying to manage the huge guest load who didn't notice us at all. I finally asked about some champagne and was met with a simple "no." Surprised, and feeling sorry for the stressed staff, I went to the front desk to inquire there, and got another curt no. So, we sat outside and had our own celebration. But this lack of interest in service is the hallmark of the hotel it seems: our AC system never worked properly and was never fixed despite many requests, hotel concierge seems non-existent for help with plans and planning, etc. The only saving grace was the bellman, Jorge, who is tireless, friendly, wonderful. In short, the NH Medellin is not bad per se, but certainly does not live up to its pricing or its status as a top hotel. You can do far better for far less in Medellin right nearby.

The hotel is not a 5 star but the associates are! The bellstaff, the front desk and the breakfast staff are all great! The location is good, very close to Santa Fe and Oviedo, the El Tesoro is not far away either. Pool is never being used it is a little unwelcoming or not so private I guess. The hotel could use a refurbishment, like the hallways. Good budget hotel though with excellent staff. I would go back also because it is a little far from all the craziness of Provenza.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It's clean and secure. The front desk staff are professional and speak English well. The restaurant is excellent. Leidy, one of the servers, is amazing. A small bar is adjacent to the lobby but still feels cozy. Jaime, the friendly bartender, makes me feel like I'm his best friend instead of a customer. The reason that I love this hotel is the staff. They are friendly and responsive. I had a minor maintenance problem and called the front desk. Within 5 minutes, someone came to fix the problem. The hotel is conveniently located a block away from a beautiful shopping center. A GREAT place to stay.

Top notch hotel. Kind and helpful staff. In a good and safe area near Santa Fe mall. Had a great time! Highly recommend!
