It was a pleasant trip thanks to the kindness of the hotel owner. I was able to enjoy the hot springs and the food was good. I would like to visit again next time.

This should be the most beautiful one in the hot springs I have ever soaked. Last night, I felt dark here. It was dark all around. It was the deep mountains in the mountains. The secret environment in the secret environment. I didn’t expect to get up early in the morning and be surrounded by maple red in the frame. I thought of the secret soup and quickly went downstairs to soak. I didn’t expect it to be beautiful.
The hot spring here is a pure sulfur pool, milky blue, tastes very sour, completely natural and impurities, with maple red around, this season here, beautiful exciting.
Found on the network, can be called secret soup, the location must be secret and secluded, in the sparsely populated valley forest, only to have the meaning of leaving the dust, let nature wash the soul. And the hotel building to maintain the traditional simple style, small-scale operation, and the most important thing is that the spring water must be 100% natural quality spring.

The owners are so warm and welcoming. The location from the bus stop was around 10-15 mins walk, and in the morning the owner offered to drive us there to save time.
They have a super kawaii pet snd the owner made sure that we’re comfortable with pet before letting it play outside. Lovely breakfast

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast had amazing food.
The onsen bath were great after a long day of hiking.
The room was specious and clean, and the futon beds were very comfortable.

GGuest UserThe service at this hotel is excellent. From the concierge to front desk. Location is near Matsumoto station. I was directed to a multi storey hotel parking at the back of the hotel. It cost 1100 yen per day (multiple entry per day). Just exchange your parking ticket with the reception . They settle the parking fees when you check out.
The hotel is rather old. Looks like you entered the 1980s zone. Rooms are renovated to some extend but I could see the wear and tear. Housekeeping a bit sloppy as the window bay area was dusty when we checked in and there was a musky smell esp the bathroom.

AAttattzzExcellent new hotel, very well furnished and decorated rooms. Shoes off as soon as you enter the hotel. They even have a cleaning machine at the entrance to clean the wheels of your luggage. Nice onsen, though a little small. Free popsicles and ramen for supper. Very close to Matsumoto Train station.

TTxjemI had a wonderful experience here at Cafe&Stay Castana. The room was clean and comfortable, a great find at this price! The location is great with a free parking lot available, and with a huge supermarket conveniently located beside. However, I have to especially commend the staff, they were so friendly and accommodating to our needs! As you know, sometimes travellers are disoriented and stressed, and their willingness to help is deeply appreciated. I also had to ask for directions to a doctor as I fell sick, and they went above and beyond to take care of me. I could have only experienced this humanity at a small enterprise like this, and am very grateful.

The free simple supper (ramen or croffle ice cream) was a nice touch. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious with a huge variety of options. Highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and value.

GGuest UserLike the good hot springs, both indoor and outdoor, with sauna available in the centre of city. Also enjoy the breakfast buffet with variety of Japanese local food and tasty fruit. Free noodles for supper in night time as well. It is high value for money in the downtown.

GGodIsGood365Days🌈 We were SUPER THANKFUL for the EXCELLENT location 🤗 It was easy to get to the different places around Matsumoto 👏🏼 However, we were a little disappointed that the double room was a little squeezy as the floor area was small 💬 Even the double bed 🛏️ was actually too small for 2 persons 👤👤 We wanted to book the twin room but it was fully booked during our period of stay 😉
Nonetheless, the hotel was still a huge blessing to us as the location is what matters more to us 🤗 Thank you very much, Staff of Matsumoto 🏆 We enjoyed the yummylicious daily breakfast & complimentary coffee at the lobby of your hotel 🍱 ☕️

GGuest UserIt seems like it has recently been renovated, so some of the basic parts are still old, but it was well-maintained and the facility was clean. I think the meals were well-balanced without being too heavy on meat.
The bath is said to come from a hot spring source, but it was so hot that I had to be careful to get into it. However, I think the power of the hot springs is that I was able to stay in light clothes until the morning without getting cold. If the changing room is dark, you will not feel safe, so I think it would be better if it was a little brighter.
I think the distance between the staff was just right, but since my luggage was heavy, I wish I had an elevator.

HHuiruAlthough it is a little far from JR station and about 10 minutes walk, the quiet alley is very quiet. There is #soupの Huayi Tang Ruixiang Matsumoto Hall nearby. The hotel provides uninformed food and 3 bicycles to borrow, which is in line with my needs. In the morning, the sun and the sun, I rode a bicycle to Matsumoto City and Matsumoto Museum and Art Museum, which was very beautiful.
