Moon River Bed and Breakfast

Whenever I need a break, I head to the wonderful Moon River Bed And Breakfast. I think this was my 5th visit in two years. There have been lots of improvements under the new owner, Denny Dellinger, and he is expanding into the adjacent glorious townhouse. There is something magical about the place, and Maysville is a treasure. Go.

Our stay at the Moon River B&B was a last-second decision before heading back home, and we're so happy the Maysville Room was available! The owner, Denny Dellinger, and his assistant Alice were so very kind to us, making our visit a second home away from home. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and just beautiful, with a wonderful view to the historic church across the street. At night the street was quiet, except for the occassional motorcycle going by in the evening. We could tell every detail was well thought out. And the breakfast was just so very delicious, with plenty of healthy options. There's parking in the rear, but there's plenty of parking on the street, and entrance to the B&B is from the front door on the street. We really enjoyed talking Denny and Alice, and to the other guests. Just wish we had more time in our hands to spend at least one more night!

We recently spent three relaxing nights at the Moon River B&B. We highly recommend. Denny the owner was a gracious host and made sure our experience was enjoyable. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Lovely stay at Moon River. Charming Historic Building in beautiful Maysville. Nice room, perfect location, good breakfast and a wonderful host Denny. We were there for a wedding and reception. Had a lovely day in Maysville browsing the many shops and the Gateway museum. The miniature colection was amazing. Thank you!

The suite was located in the basement. It smelled like you would expect a basement to smell. Of course we were not informed the room was in the basement and across from a dirt cellar. The “garden” area was not maintained and did not provide a place to comfortably sit outside. The cushions and seats were dirty and unkept. There was a sump pump in our area that we had to listen to frequently. The TV had sound issues. This definitely is not B& B quality.

Love everything about this place. First, the location is the best for enjoying the many varied activities and events of Maysville being a block away from the heart of downtown. Second, it is historical beauty with a comfortable ambience. Third, the hospitality is superb: bedding, linens, well appointed bathrooms and great breakfasts. Also, we really appreciated the time shared with our host, Denny. His personable style and knowledge of the community made us feel at home. Fourth, clean and quiet: 2 more factors for enjoying this great location! Highly Recommend.

The Moon River is in a wonderful location, close to shops, but it needs to be updated and shined up a little bit. Even the front door was dusty. We were put off when the owner was not there to let us in at the 4pm reservation time and phone calls just went to voice mail. He did not tell us anything about breakfast, time, etc. or ask us our preference. The house seemed dark and disorganized. There was only one upholstered chair in our room and it needed the springs repaired. We stayed in the Civil War Room. The headboard was not attached to the bed; it was the wrong size. I was just disappointed in this B&B.
