La Fonda Heritage Hotel Luxury, Relais & Châteaux

Visiting a member of Relais & Chateaux raises expectations. La Fonda Heritage met our expectations on every account. We received a warm and courteous welcome at the front desk including light refreshments and useful information about the hotel and recommended restaurants in Marbella. All amenities delivered first class from a very friendly and attentive staff, our room, common facilities such as the gourmet restaurant, the el patio breakfast and lunch restaurant and the rooftop terrace bar offering a nice view. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts served by a very friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. We would recommend the Eggs Benedict which we found to be of a very high quality. The hotel offers several interesting services to its guests and we took advantage of the wine tasting enjoying ourselves outdoors in el patio under the supervision of the very capable sommelier Jorge. A delightful and interesting tasting that increased our knowledge of spanish wines. We had two meals in the gourmet restaurant which complemented the high quality throughout the hotel (separate reviewed). Location is superb for exploring the old town and beaches along the golden mile promenade. We experienced an issue during our stay that we brought to the attention of the hotel management. This was solved in a most satisfactory way demonstrating a management with focus on communication, guest satisfaction and commitment for improvement. We will surely return to La Fonda Heritage…

Avoid / scam artists / tourists trap . Shame to sell it as a tourists attraction. Horrible communications and customer service. They won’t even return your email or phone calls after over charging you . It made it worse by booking through *******

My husband and I stayed here for 5 wonderful days. We were pampered by all the staff. There was nothing they wouldn’t do to help make our stay absolutely perfect. The front desk staff went out of their way to book all our day trips for us and find the best guides. It was the ideal way to discover the region. The restaurant is amazing. The chefs were willing to make anything we wanted at breakfast, and the dinner menu was top notch. Excellent wine menu with a Sommelier who knew what he was talking about. Rooms are quaint and beds extremely comfortable. So much ambience in this hotel. Sunset cocktails on the rooftop terrace was a perfect way to unwind after a busy day exploring. You won’t find better trained or friendlier staff anywhere. Can’t say enough about them, and we have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world. The location is perfect. Very walkable and just far enough away from the bars and restaurants to not be noisy. Can’t wait to return

La Fonda is a stunning small hotel in the heart of Marbella Old Town. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and stylish. We were warmly greeted on arrival by the Front Desk and this friendliness was found throughout - in the bar, from the management and a special thanks to the lovely friendly breakfast staff! The location is perfect for wandering through the pretty streets of the Old Town but is only a pleasant 15 minute stroll to the beach with so many cafes and restaurants to choose from. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I dined at the Jane restaurant on 3rd April. The whole dining experience has been wonderful. We had a beautiful table by the window, very romantic, the interiors are beautiful. Our waiter was an absolute credit to the restaurant and the service was simply perfect - thank you for making our evening so lovely with your attention to detail and really going that extra mile. The food and wine were also excellent. We will certainly be back. Thank you x x

Booked the entire hotel for a group of 40 pax for four nights. Spectacular. Highlights include exceptional service from all the staff including reception, housekeeping, restaurant and bar. Management were supportive throughout the planning stages and so welcoming to all our guests. Everyone had a great time. Perfect location to give everyone independent freedom to explore Marbella Old Town, yet also to be together for the important events of the long weekend. Luxury comfort and treatment for everyone. Highly recommended.

La Fonda was a terrific hotel experience. The quality of the rooms, the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, the superb food — all made our stay extraordinary. Kudos to the management and to Anna, George, Laura and more for their excellent service. We were charmed by Marbella and cannot wait to return to this hotel.

The minute we entered la fonda we were greeted with personal attention very friendly at reception.the bar was very intimate and cosy.the staff were all polite and hospitable.the food in restraunt was the best we had all week in marbella.the wine sommalier was very knowledgeable on all aspects of wine.it was a pleasure to eat and drink in hotel.

This was one of those hotels which you know are going to please right from check in. We had 4 excellent nights here - everything very clean. Breakfasts were super and the waiting staff were very attentive. We would have liked to dine here but the evening restaurant wasn't yet open for the season. The position was nice in the old town. Quiet at night but restaurants and bars an easy walk away. Its definitely on our list to revisit if we come back to the area
