Unity Malmo

First time in Malmo and we came upon this hotel. Love every bit of it. A small room but perfect for us. We reached early and was told to pay $150 for early check in but we find it unreasonable and didn’t proceed with it. However they have a storage that comes with a lock for us to store our luggage while we wait for the check in time. Other than that, the stay was great :)

Terrible experience!! I never recommend this hotel to anyone. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. If you are staying in summer, you cannot imagine how hot it is. Also, the room is dusty and the cleaners do a sloppy job. The hotel manager is a problematic woman, you never get an answer about your complains, she doesn't care about anyone but herself. The barception is relatively better but they cannot help you and take responsibility themselves. Take also into account how noisy the hotel will be with people talking loudly in front of the window in the dead of night. And of course the hotel still can't do anything.

I Would definitely NOT recommend it! Very disappointing and bad service! I honestly wish I never booked it at all…..They only think about themselves and their needs and do not care for you as customer even if they say it! Bad location, bad service and definitely bad booking choice ever!

This aparthotel is 20 mn walk from the centre of town but the walk is quite nice, so that is not an issue (and there are buses). The place is new and clean, everything works well. Access to the fitness room was included. Overall, Unity met our needs.

Staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. A few negative points - rooms were stuffy, my colleague had a fall because someone had used a wet mop on the "stone effect" floor at the foot of the stairs rendering it slippery, and the cafeteria selection of food ran out and was not replenished. Overall, I would recommend this is as good value accommodation.

Bad place that does not meet the requirements you should set for a newly built hotel! The ventilation is very poor, the room smells stuffy and stuffy. The air conditioning was turned off when the hot weather arrived in early June 2023. The staff was friendly at first but that changed quickly after these remarks. After requesting mail for more than 3 weeks, it emerged that the staff forgot to check the mail's mailbox! SCARY! I have lived there for two months but never again! Dåligt ställe som inte uppfyller dom krav man borde ställa på ett nybyggt hotell! Ventilationen är mycket dålig, rummet luktar instängt och kvavt. Luftkonditioneringen stängdes av när den varma tiden kom I början på juni 2023. Personalen var vänlig i början men det ändrades snabbt efter dessa påpekanden. Efter att under mer än 3 veckor efterfrågat post framkom det att personalen glömt kolla postens postbox! SKRÄMMANDE! Jag har bott där I två månader men aldrig mer!

Two of us spent a week at UNITY Malmö and used it as a base for exploring the city, the surrounding area and Copenhagen. Positives: Everything is brand new, stylish and very organised. A lot of thought has clearly gone into things. Wi-Fi super fast, but frustratingly prone to drop outs. Gym is just about big enough for a decent work out. Negatives: The studio room was organised with a good amount of storage but just a little bit small and cramped. The kitchen was cramped. There’s a space for everything but nowhere for things to go if you actually want to use it! No clear recycling policy. They don’t provide you with kitchen paper, a kitchen towel or washing-up liquid. There’s a small dishwasher but it’s a bit OTT to use it after each time you cook. You have to use a very noisy extractor if you cook to avoid setting off the fire/smoke alarms. They could use some clearer instructions for new arrivals - eg you need up lift the bed up to find the second duvet; some of the cupboards look like blank panels but are push-open. Bed is too small for two people. The biggest negative is the location. It’s not good. Inconvenient, out of the centre (take the bus or walk for 30 mins) and nowhere near anything you might want/need.

We chose Unity Malmo because it was advertised as a perfect mix of traditional holiday apartment and luxury hotel. Unfortunately, we could not discover the part of the luxury hotel. The hotel is on Nobelvägen and there is a bus stop about 5 minutes away from which you can take line 3 either to the train station or towards Triangeln. However, only this one line runs and only about every 20 minutes. The area around the hotel does not offer any attractions apart from the Sorgenfri Cemetery. There is a smaller supermarket nearby which is handy if you are self catering. We chose the deluxe studio with 22 square meters. We were welcomed at the reception very friendly are we were also able to leave our luggage until the studio was ready. We received a map and a description of how to get into the building of our studio. Some of the paths are very winding and some of them can only be reached via balconies outside. Our studio was on the 5th floor under the roof with a slope. It was very warm and stuffy. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning and the windows could only be opened when it wasn't raining. The interior is designed by a British designer and decorated in light beige. The individual cabinet elements are stackable. Unfortunately, the upper elements are not accessible for small people, not even the top level in the kitchenette, where pans and pots are placed. A small ladder would be helpful here if you are not accompanied by a taller person. The sofa bed of 140 cm x 200 cm is too small for 2 people, especially since access is only possible from one side as it is right against the wall. This is impractical. In addition, there is no bedside cabinet to store something. Despite the relatively large number of cupboards, there is a lack of storage in crucial places. In the bathroom there is neither a board at the sink nor at the shower. The table is also very small if you only want to eat for two. We found the associated chairs to be very uncomfortable. There was no real workplace where you could conveniently put your laptop. So we had to improvise a lot. The small kitchen is well equipped with portable induction hotplates, a microwave and also a dishwasher. The hotplates could only be used if you turned on the ventilation because the fire alarm was directly above the kitchen. However, the ventilation was extremely loud so that hardly any conversation was possible while cooking.What was missing was a tea towel to dry off a bit. A hand brush would also have been useful, as cleaning only took place every 7 days. With us, this was one day before departure - in this case it no longer makes sense. There is also a gym in the complex that can be used. The Orangery is very pretty with plenty of seating and a large games table for people to borrow one of the many games that are available. The room also invites you to linger over a coffee or cold drink. We didn't book breakfast as it seemed overpriced at 11 euros. There was no buffet, just a sandwich with c
