The property is shared with hotels and other property owners in one same building. Perfect Host was the owner of the property that we are staying with. It works like a serviced apartment except there is no lobby and proper check in. The staff will text you prior to your arrival to arrange to meet at the security counter at a very specific timing where he will appear to hand you the key card for check in. So must take note. The property is just about 5mins walk to Hatten Hotel, which is then connected to the other malls so rather convenient. Just infront of the property is also one of the major pick up location for buses that goes to other parts of Malaysia or Singapore. The rooms is clean and proper, just that it can be seen that the property is a little dated but otherwise still comfortable. Comes with a kitchenette and also swimming pool to use. Highly recommend this property to stay, with prices so affordable it is definitely on my top list. The only downside is there is no Wi-Fi provided. Otherwise, just below the property, there is also plenty of food choices so don't worry about getting hungry!

The location is very good. Of course, the ancient city is not too big. The hotel is very new and provides slippers and towels. Most hotels in Malaysia only provide bath towels. The socket is from China. The most important thing is to have a razor, which is usually only provided by star hotels. It takes a long time to go out, so it is very friendly to men.

Stayed at The Shore for 2 nights over the Merdeka holidays. Had 2 connecting rooms on 32nd floor. Did not face much problem going up and down the lifts. View was great and did see fireworks because of the Merdeka celebrations.
Since it was our first hotel booking here we were very confused with the parking layout. Signs should be bigger and brighter to direct guests to the correct lift ie Tower 1 to The Shore and Tower 2 to the Swiss Garden hotel.
Check in was a breeze but was a bit surprised as housekeeping is not done on a daily basis. If you need towels and refreshments you need to make a request at the reception.

**Review of Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka**
My stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka was a bit of a mixed experience, with both positive aspects and a few frustrations.
Starting with the positives, the location of the hotel is great—situated near the heart of Melaka, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions. The facilities, including the pool and gym, were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was modern and welcoming.
However, there were some issues that affected my overall comfort. First, the parking situation. While the hotel offers a premium valet service for RM25, it feels a bit overpriced given the alternatives in the area. Though convenient, the cost doesn’t match the level of service provided.
The biggest downside was the bathroom design. The toilet and shower are separated by one of those glass partitions, which isn’t the most functional setup. It made the space feel cramped and awkward to move around, especially with limited space behind the bathroom door. The shower glass just added to the inconvenience—honestly, removing it might improve the usability of the space!
On a brighter note, the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in and check-out were smooth.
Overall, Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka has potential, but small details like the bathroom layout and parking costs took away from what could have been a more enjoyable experience.

This is a newly launched Ctrip hotel, so there aren't many reviews. I looked at the reviews from ********* guests, and most of them were good. The room was a good size, the carpet didn't look like it was from 2024, and the bathroom was nicely renovated.
Great care is taken to ensure guests experience comfort through top-notch services and amenities. Stay connected with your associates, as complimentary Wi-Fi is available during your entire visit. When arriving by car, you'll be grateful for the on-site complimentary parking at serviced apartment. Smoking is permitted solely in the specified smoking zones allocated by serviced apartment. Throughout the day, engage in the entertaining activities available at Amber Cove Premier Suites Melaka. Unwind by the pool at serviced apartment and cherish a leisurely moment.Guests who enjoy maintaining their fitness regimen while on holiday can visit the fitness center provided by serviced apartment.

Love it so much, we stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, the rooms are very clean, wide and equipped with basic equipments and electrical appliances such as microwave, electrical stove, fridge, washing machine and TV. You will be assigned one unique parking lot for each unit after checked in. Customer service is so excellent and efficient. The view is pretty nice, can even see Encore Melaka from our unit. Will come here again next time.

This is not my first time staying at Ames Hotel, it's my third time, and it will be the last!! I travel for business almost every week, both within Malaysia and abroad. I have stayed in dozens of hotels, as you can see from my record on the Agoda website, but this has been the worst stay ever!!! I arrived at midnight, and no staff assisted with my luggage. There was a male staff in a black shirt who just walked past me at my car without offering any help, and there was also a pregnant woman (a customer) who just got out of her car to check in, and no one helped her either.
The night manager, named FARED, assisted with my check-in. I requested a late check-out at 3 PM because I had an event under my company at the Ames Hotel as well, but the next morning, he informed me that I had to check out at 2 PM. I complied even though I had told Mr. FARED the night before about the late check-out at 3 PM. However, when I was having breakfast at the Merchant Lounge, a manager named JOSEPH told me that I had to check out by 1 PM, even though FARED had confirmed with me the night before that I could check out by 2 PM. I find this completely unacceptable.
JOSEPH also mentioned that my room was upgraded for free, even though I paid extra for the suite—it was not free. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional because he did not check my room details before speaking with me. He made it seem like I received a complimentary upgrade and was not entitled to the service I deserved. This is extremely disrespectful, and this is my honest review of Ames Hotel Melaka.
Thank you to the lounge staff named DILA for calming my wife and me and providing good hospitality service.

GGuest UserThe hotel was much bigger than we had anticipated. It is a really beautiful place, hidden away in the nice city of Melaka. The lobby is beautifully designed, but freezing and the whole hotel seemed drenched in some kind of perfume, which made me a bit dizzy. Our room had the weirdest smell- but I think it was intentional...as though they had made it smell like that on purpose...like mouldy hay. The room was really pretty and the little patio is a nice touch. We informed the desk that we's be checking out at 12:50. but still, the same concierge called us at 12:00, waiting impatiently for us to check out. We were also hardly ever greeted upon entering the hotel. Weird. Once everything is done, I'm sure it will be a nice place. I wish the plants were real. They are all plastic and it shows, unfortunately. The location is perfect, just around the corner from China Town and Junkers Walk. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night or two.
GGuest UserThis is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.
GGuest UserBooked via Trip.Com, I did not know the room was a family suite which was actually a heritage house opposite to the main hotel block. Interesting to have a nostalgic experience to stay in an traditional house but might be a little too quiet for solo travellers. Need to climb the stairs as the bed and the washroom/pantry are on different floors. Staff was friendly and the house was spotless clean. Another plus is the strong air con in the house against the crazy heat in Malacca.
GGuest UserThe hotel from the exterior looked really grand. The room was quite big in size and the hotel reception staff were nice enough. We (husband, two teenage children and I) arrived an hour early and were directed to the note that they didn’t have early check-ins. The doorman was nice and gave us an umbrella as it was raining when we were going out. However, the bathroom was not very clean with rotting shower screen because of most likely poor cleaning. The towels in the bathroom were supposed to be white but were brown in colour and stained. Unfortunately, we had to use these as there was no other option, felt unclean after shower. The corridor had a musty odour which was overpowering. Stayed two nights and had put up a door sign to have the room cleaned but no one came around and we were out all day. Bottled water was given on the first day but not on the subsequent day. I’m glad we only stayed two nights as couldn’t have tolerated the place for any longer.
CCAROLINE MARY LAIWow, this hotel is really clean. I love clean hotel. Thank you Asiatic Hotel : housekeeping team for keeping the rooms so clean. I love this hotel and definitely will come back again to stay in this hotel. I love their design of their rooms too. Very comfortable and have lot of places to put our things in organised way. They have a small fridge in the hotel. Most importantly, lot of foods and restaurants nearby. They have a cafe and 711 next door so convenient and superb. Thank you Asiatic Hotel for your hospitality and definitely will come back again to stay in this hotel.
FFirMoIt was a business and family trip. I liked the location to get to Melaka River Cruise and nearby bridge to cross yo Kg Morten. Easy to get food especially for dinner. Parking is ample at the connected multi storey car park within the hotel building. The premier room was good with a big bathroom with bathtub facing the window. The sink and counter top is good to bring food. Since the bathroom has taken up a big space..the room is a little bit cramped if you have stroller and big luggage bag but there are a lot of cabinets to put your things. The food for breakfast is a little disappointing as it is a small selection in comparison with the price if you need to add breakfast and they were no pastries, for 2 days the sambal nasi lemak was overcooked.
MMuhammad Irsyad Bin ZainiI recently had the pleasure of staying at OYO 90899 Tube Hotel Melaka and the experience surpassed all expectations. From the moment I stepped through the grand entrance, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a truly memorable stay.
The check-in process was seamless, with the staff demonstrating exceptional hospitality and efficiency. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was evident, from the elegant lobby adorned with tasteful decorations to the well-appointed rooms that exuded both comfort and style.
Speaking of rooms, mine was a haven of tranquility. The furnishings were modern and plush, creating a cozy ambiance that made it difficult to leave. The bed was a highlight, offering a heavenly night's sleep with its luxurious linens and a selection of pillows that catered to personal preferences.
The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The fitness center boasted state-of-the-art equipment, and the spa provided a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun.
Dining was a culinary delight. The on-site restaurant showcased a diverse menu featuring both local and international cuisine. The chefs' commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish. The breakfast buffet was a standout, offering a wide array of options to suit every palate.
The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Requests were handled promptly and with a genuine smile, adding a personal touch that made me feel like a valued guest.
The location of the hotel was also ideal, situated in close proximity to popular attractions, dining options, and shopping districts. Whether I was exploring the city or simply strolling through the nearby parks, everything was conveniently within reach.
In conclusion, my stay at [Hotel Name] was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, top-notch amenities, and outstanding service created a truly memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a refined and indulgent getaway. I look forward to returning to [Hotel Name] in the future for another unforgettable stay.
GGuest UserFor sheer location, this hotel is hard to beat, being located at the beginning of the two best heritage streets in Malacca. Being an old building, there are limitations but it's all modern inside. It's a medium tier hotel with small rooms. The bathroom was tiny, and walls are thin so you can hear noises from adjacent rooms. Room was clean and reasonably well equipped with clean sheets, brightly lit within but wire frame wardrobe. Lobby area is basic, and there's no hotel parking as it opens directly onto the road. Best for a short stay in Malacca where convenient location for sightseeing is the main criterion. For a longer, luxurious stay, look elsewhere.
AAnonymous UserThis is a lowest budget hotel in Melaka, simple but tidy. However no kettle, no TV and the cleanliness of bathroom could have been better. The self check-in process requires verification and a deposit of RM50+ 2 via Whatsapp.
Roadside parking available. Overall it was up to my expectation and had a pleasant stay!
