Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid

Super great hotel to stay. Very nice smile at the front desk and concierge. MO is still my favorest stay choice with no doubt.

This is easily the best hotel in Madrid and possibly the best hotel in Europe. Never have I had a negative experience and everything they do they do to perfection. My time in the garden having lunch and dinner was always peaceful and relaxing; I feel at home in this hotel I’m drawn to Madrid only because of this Hotel .

After our recent 3 nights at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, we have vowed never to stay anywhere else when visiting Madrid. It was simply the most magical, immaculate, faultless stay and for this all credit goes to the amazing staff. On arrival, were greeted warmly by the doormen and then Davide at reception made us feel so welcome, giving us a personal tour of our room. Each day he was so helpful in every way and made our experience feel seamless. We also loved interacting with the knowledgable concierge team, all the super friendly staff at breakfast (which was amazing by the way), the wonderfully accommodating spa team and the fabulous team at Le Jardin del Ritz. Unfortunately we had booked just when the 2 Michelin star restaurant was closed for the summer but Le Jardin offered us some fantastic food and cocktails (as well as a brilliant and inventive mocktail list which I was so impressed with as I am currently pregnant and had found other bars in Spain unable to cater for this beyond 0% beer). Le Jardin’s traditional valencian paella was the stand out dish, as well as the gazpacho. The surroundings are stunning and they have mist machines to keep you cool in the heat - would highly recommend a visit here. Our room itself was stunning and spacious with a gorgeous view from the 5th floor. We were gifted with an absolutely delicious almond cake and a bottle of wine (which my husband enjoyed!) on arrival. Housekeeping ensured a daily clean as well as a turn down and it was spotless each time. Brilliant attention to detail throughout. The location is perfect with the Prado being a couple of minutes away by foot. We are used to staying in some of the most reputable hotels in the world (and also in London where we are from) and we can hands down say this was the best hospitality we have ever experienced - the staff here are really exceptional, professional, kind, generous, considerate and an overall asset to the MO brand. We will most certainly return and next time try out the Michelin star restaurant!

This historic and stunning hotel offered us a luxurious home base during our stay in Madrid. The recently restored building is pristine and modern while maintaining its classic old world features. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and we were welcomed with fresh fruit and a delicious tea cake. The beautiful Palm Court was always a welcome pit stop for a beverage, meal, or breakfast and the staff were all incredible. Mr. Toledo the concierge was particularly helpful, guiding us towards must see sites and even helping change our train tickets when needed. The spa team were also kind and welcoming and the pool area is truly one of the most stunning spaces I’ve ever encountered at a luxury property. The Ritz is located directly next to the Prado Museum and close to several other museums and the train station. We were particularly tickled by the extra tea cakes the staff gifted us on our departure!
