There is no soundproofing at all. In one room, you could hear the men and women doing things at night, and in another room, they kept smoking and catching raccoons. Other than that, the neighborhood was a bit of a crime-ridden area, and on Friday nights, the noise in the square outside was so loud that I couldn't get a good night's sleep during the three days I stayed at the hostel.

Barebones hostel, having a private room is really nice if you don’t want to share a room with 11 strangers. However, our check-in experience was a nigh**are, as a neighbor had to contact the property owner to let me in as I was not given the code after checking in online. Furthermore the room’s floor tiles were not properly cemented to the ground. All of this being said, the neighborhood was great and not tourists-y and the front desk worker when she was there was very helpful and spoke great English.

If you want to stay cheap, it’s perfect but very noisy area night bathrooms are separate to rooms and toilet. Very noisy people used them all night, the reception man and the cleaner lady very good, looked after everything for us had to change room, as had leak in the night from the roof and the cleaning lady sorted out everything and changed our room straightaway with no complaints, very apologetic.

It is in a very unsafe area, there were many patrols all night.
The area smelled very bad and upon entering it reeked of cigarettes, the rooms are so connected that you can hear each other, those in the next room were awake drinking until 4am, which was when I left the hotel

Excellent staff, very comfortable bed base as well as the pillows. Access with a single code for all tickets is very convenient.
Honestly, as a Hostel, it is very good! The comfortable bathrooms, with bidet and bathtub, super clean!

Located in the worst area of Lavapiés
Very conflictive area
We don't know Madrid and by locating ourselves on the map and being close to Latina we thought it was a good option... Even the taxi driver told us to be careful
