Hotel Indigo Madrid - Princesa

Hotel Indigo Madrid - Princesa

Madrid|1.18km from Cafe del Foro
Like in other reviews, the main pro about this hotel is location. Very convenient for metro and bus access, and within reasonable walking distance to the Palacio Real. However, that’s about the only reason to book this hotel. The Front Desk staff was rude, unaccommodating, and just plain wrong. He insisted that the room was not suitable for two when the booking and rate type, both in my confirmation email and in the IHG app, clearly showed “SLEEPS 2.” When I asked if it’s a twin bed in the room, he said no it’s a queen. So I asked what’s the problem then? As we were getting our keys he then said by the way breakfast would normally be for one but in this case I give you guys the second breakfast free. As if he were trying to come across as doing us a favor, when I know for a fact that the rate I booked included breakfast for up to two guests. Our best guess is this person was ********** (it was myself and my ******** partner) and couldn’t stand the idea of us being in this room together. This is also all without so much as even acknowledging my loyalty (Gold) with IHG. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Expresses with considerably more welcoming staff than this man (won’t name him by name unless IHG reaches out) displayed at this property. Stay at this property for the location but don’t pay anything more than 60€ per night. Anything more than that is a rip off. And don’t expect to be given a warm welcome by this particular front desk person. There was another person - a woman - working the front desk but our interactions with her were unfortunately limited. Perhaps the experience would have been better if we had been welcomed by her as she was considerably more pleasant.

One Shot Luchana 22

Madrid|0.35km from Cafe del Foro
I recently stayed at One Shot 22 to celebrate my Birthday and my Daughter's Graduation. I rented two premium rooms. The photos of the rooms depicted a wrap around balcony. Upon arrival the A/C did not work. When I attempted to call the front desk no one picked up the phone. After a few failed attempts on trying to reach someone by phone I proceeded to go down to the lobby. The explained to the receptionist that the AC was not working and I attempted to call but no one had answered the phone. The receptionist stated that she heard the phone but was helping someone else so she could not pick up the phone. I was ok with that response. She then advised me that she was would turn on the AC from a master control station at the desk. I expressed my concern that I would not be able to adjust the AC directly from the room. The receptionist then stated to call the front desk if I want the AC adjusted. I believe this was unacceptable. I was exhausted from travelling that day and went to bed hoping I would not have an issue with the AC. The next day I went down to the front desk to express my dissatisfaction with the two premium rooms not having the wrap around balcony depicted in the room pictures. The receptionist argued that there were no such pictures in the room description. I should her copies of my reservations and asked her to go on their website to verify the pictures. Upon the receptionist viewing the images she apologized and stated there was only one room in the hotel with a wrap around balcony. The only reason I booked two premium rooms in this hotel was to be able to sit out on the balcony and relax after a long a day. I asked to speak to a manger. The receptionist stated there was no manger on site but provided with a phone number to the manager. I called and left a message. I went out for the day upon arrive the AC was not working again for the second time. I had to go back down to the lobby for the receptionist to activate the AC. Again, I requested to speak to manager. The receptionist reached out to the manager and left the manager a message to contact me. When the manager contacted me I expressed to her that the ONLY reason I booked the hotel was for the balcony overlooking a small park. Again I was advised they only had one premium room with a wrap around balcony. I alerted the manager that One Shot was misrepresenting the premium rooms by displaying photos of a wrap around balcony. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and stated that she would advise the marketing department of the images displayed. I asked for a discount because I felt I was paying a premium price but not receiving what One Shot portrayed in their Premium room images. I must be honest, the bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. The bathroom was showing it's age with the wallpaper peeling. My wife had a difficult time putting on her make up with the poor lighting over the vanity. I wasn't impressed with the limited breakfast onsite. The hotel was in a qui

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The only thing I noticed, perhaps x my age, that would miss a little more lighting in the entrance. I was hard to see to put the key. I recommend it and I would return to any other Sonder without doubt.

We stayed at this hostel for two years and it felt particularly good. The store is located in a particularly fashionable area and is close to all the attractions. I am glad we rarely see tourists in this area. It may be noisy by night. People love to party so you may need earplugs. The area is quite safe, it costs 1 euro to take the subway from the airport and then walk a block. At the subway station you can find many different tourist channels, which is very convenient for local travel to the train station. Often Ricardo works at the desk and it is very pleasant to deal with the problem. Please make sure the budget price of the best seafood restaurant he recommends is relatively cheap. Just two blocks from this hostel. If you want to stay near Mayor Square, try La Macarena hostel (worked by Jose at the desk). We prefer Sil because we prefer its location. We live in room 203 and have free internet access.

We had a very bad experience with the Suits! And we don’t recommend this place. We first booked on another location of them, but we were told that our apar**ent won’t be ready for check in and we have to wait a few minutes which turned to almost 4 hours!! Once we were up to leave our luggage we realized that the place was destroyed by the previous guest and it’s not appropriate for living. The team offered another location, so we had to move 6 bags and luggage ourselves, with a 3 YO kid with us. When we arrived to the central suites) where we found: A smaller apar**ent Outdated kitchen and bathroom which weren’t very clean The street was noisy and not suite for a family, and we just had very bad sleep every night. On top of all the elevator got stuck and made a terrible noise from 4 AM to 9AM when they finally answered and said they’ll send someone to fix it. After a long and annoying negotiation with the team, which literately destroyed the first 1.5 days of our trip, we got a compensation of one night for free, BUT from the original price we payed, which was much higher per night than the location we ended up at. So, reconsider before you book with them.

My stay in this apartment was fantastic. The place looked very new, was clean and had everything you need. The apartment had 2 lovely rooms an 2 bathrooms. The rooms were at the back of the building far from the street noise, so you can have a quiet sleep. The location is great to, right at the lovely Malasana neighborhood.

Only advantage to these apar**ents in my opinion is the location. The balcony is a Juliet Balcony, not big enough to sit on so this is misleading. The towels were very small and threadbare and you have to pay extra to get them replaced and clean ones. The cleanliness when we arrived was basic, the oven was greasy and apar**ent was dusty. The drains in the apar**ent were very smelly, they came and cleaned them but the smell came back the next day. There were no instructions or a welcome pack to give you an idea of the area ie metro lines, places of interest, just given key and not told the office is closed when you checkout. The area is very noisy and busy at all times but it's central so you have to expect this. The soundproofing between apar**ents is bad and you can hear people moving around at all times.

Great location; easy access to lots of places to eat. Near the train station. The flat is very clean, spacious and bright. The patio opens to the streets - we enjoyed the view from the balcony. It's a quiet building. Keyless entry which is very convenient.
