Riverside Cottage B&B

Stayed here for three nights in Room 9. Very comfortable room, clean and excellent facilities. Plenty of coffee tea and biscuits. Good selection of toiletries. Plenty of hot water for showers. It was lovely to sit on the private balcony and watch the world go by. Breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh fruit, cereal, toast and good quality coffee. Dan looked after us and cooks a mean breakfast. We ate in the MeatHub, we were able to have our food in the breakfast room. I can honestly say it was the best meal we had while we were away. The portions were large, and the food was cooked to perfection by Dan. Can’t wait to return later in the year.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very relaxing stay with fabulous views from our balcony looking over the river. Very welcoming with lovely breakfast, especially the porridge with honey! We ate from the Meathub which was really good! Nothing is too mush trouble.

We really enjoyed our stay and felt really welcome. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We had great views of the sea and river from the private balcony. The breakfast selection was excellent and we both thoroughly enjoyed the full English which was cooked to perfection. Only positive criticism was the bath could do with a new bath panel and a heated towel rail in the bathroom for drying the towls for the morning after an evening shower.

We stayed at Riverside with our cavapoo ‘Biscuit’. Dan and Debbie made us feel so welcome and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was amazing and an added bonus is that they have a take away business which is available 5 days a week which certainly added to the experience. Also, it is so nice to have a balcony and with a super view. Looking forward to going back again.

Amazing views and great location. Very clean a little tired in places but a great welcome and amazing breakfast and choice, nothing too much trouble .Very friendly and small B&B .Personal touch and their new meat hub take away looked and smelt delicious . Would definitely recommend staying here .

You know when a business is doing something right when you return for a fourth time! Debbie and Dan yet again were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Our room with a balcony and beautiful views overlooking the river/sea was very spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. This year we had the added bonus of the newly opened Meathub which is attached to the B&B and provides very tasty and exceptional food, a must to try even if you don’t stay at Riverside. We tried everything on the menu and everything was delicious. The negative reviews found on the website do not reflect our experience, we’ve always received exceptional service from this B&B and have always found Debbie and Dan a breath of fresh air, from their bubbly down to earth personalities to their home made banana cake. This year has been a difficult year for my partner and I as he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. I informed Debbie on arrival of his condition just in case he became vacant whilst talking to him and she was very understanding, in fact the laid back a**osphere and kindness of all the staff contributed to Rob feeling very relaxed, a first in months. Another great stay at this really lovely B&B, a little bit of heaven in our opinion. Lovely comfortable rooms, bed is so comfy. Whilst it was a little chilly to take full advantage, it was great having a balcony. Debbie is a great host, very friendly, and Dan does cook a fab breakfast. We had a top floor room (no. 9) which offered great views and yes, a full size TV!! We can't wait to stay again.

Lovely cosy and homely . Made very welcome by Debbie and nothing was too much trouble . Has a nice friendly a**osphere . Good location for visiting surrounding area. Comfortable sea view room and river view with a balcony , perfect for switching off and taking time out and relaxing .

Fifth visit to Lynmouth for the the Exmoor walking and first time staying at Riverside. What a great find. Incredibly friendly and open. The host is great fun and nothing appears too much trouble. Its situated in the centre right by the riverside. Breakfast was so fresh with a great choice. If you’re arriving by car go to tourist info and get parking ticket for the whole time of your stay. Don’t forget to book direct with Riverside rather than go through one of the booking sites. You get exactly the same deal.
