Worst staying. I booked before 3 hours for bbq night.I told them I need uzo they said okay we have sure. When I arrived there they said no we don’t have. I said okay I bring my bottles on room. Well I picked up but in that time they just get from outside one bottle and said it’s complimentary. I felt nice and special and I went live them tip (bottle of uzo it’s 10$ in outside) I leave them 100$ tip. After then manager come and said it’s not complimentary… I don’t care 10$ bottle for pay but they ruined my night so..

The hotel is perfectly located and has amazing views of the Nile, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset !
The service was impeccable and they prepared for us breakfast box.
The only criticism which is not only applicable to the hotel is the fact that the price quoted for them helping to call a taxi by the reception was by far higher than what it would normally cost to grab a taxi and use the meter

The Old Winter Palace is the grand old dame of Luxor. The hotel is extremely atmospheric. However, it needs to be clearly said that an upgrade of the rooms will soon be needed. However, this did not impact my general impression of the hotel. I had a classic room on the third floor, with Nile view. The room had a balcony, which was brilliant. The hotel staff are all extremely kind and helpful. The restaurants (I tried the 1886, the La Corniche, as well as the pool-side restaurant) were all very good, and the service was excellent. breakfast in la corniche was good. What I would suggest here would be to open the windows for some fresh air - and possibly even considering an the construction of an outside terrace. Variety of food and quality of food was great. Coffee was served in a French coffee press. - It feels hard to describe the hotel - it just felt "right". I would defnitely stay there again, and will recommend to others.

The hotel is a century-old hotel, the facilities are a bit old, the cups in the bathroom are broken, the service is really bad, I wanted to change the room before, they said they didn't have it, and they ignored me, I had to go to the front desk, and they changed it after I got there. The worst thing is that I forgot to take my Chanel perfume with me when I checked out, and I left it on the table. When I asked the hotel the next day, they said they didn't have it. When I asked Ctrip, they told me to call the police 😅
