The hotel is right next to Loch Lomond, and Luss is next to it. It is a pure holiday place, quiet and picturesque. The hotel rooms should all face the lake, but the facilities are obviously a bit old. However, overall it's okay. The hotel front desk couldn't find a rental car at the place where we were dropped off, it was so busy. They probably all came by car.

My daughter’s wedding, words not enough. The room we had looked onto the loch amazing view balcony to sit out and watch the boats . Where do I start, the room was spacious and very clean. The staff from reception right through to the waiters in fact all staff made the wedding a day to remember and it was a day to remember ,nothing was any bother, always smiling even after a long hard day.they were just amazing. The wedding planner and staff were fantastic.everything went plain sailing and again staff were there all round to sort everyone. Meals were out on time . The wedding meals were beautiful lots of it too. Not one person complained about there meal. Every one of the guests came to us to say it was the best wedding and service they have had. The hotel breakfast and meals were brilliant definitely local, produce and freshly made very tasty and plenty of it, there was continental as well as fried and a lot of choice for the main breakfast well cooked just amazing. Not sure why there is one and 2 start reviews. I would have given more if I could. The perfect place for your wedding reception you will not be disappointed.

I have to start this review with one word - wow!! We had never been here before & didn't know what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised from start to finish. We had precooked use of the thermal spa before check in. The spa area was lovely & evidently a new feature to the hotel. The thermal spa consisted of 2 saunas, a steam room & heated loungers. It would benefit from a hot tub or jacuzzi, however that doesn't detract from our experience. Check in was a pleasant experience. Staff were just lovely. We were able to upgrade our room at a cost of £20, which we jumped at. The room was beautiful. Immaculately clean & what a stunning view. Our balcony was right on the Loch. Room has a fridge, which is rare in most hotels so was a lovely added bonus. We had prebooked afternoon tea, which was lovely. A decent amount & absolutely delicious. It was served in like a bird cage & was just stunning. We had dinner at the hotel & cannot fault this at all. This is one of the best dinners I have had at a hotel. Perfectly cooked, decent portion size. Sheer perfection! The same can be said for breakfast. Absolutely delicious. The staff are a real credit to this hotel, always pleasant & so eager to make your stay the best it can be. Our only slight issue was that as there was a wedding on at the time, the room above us had children in who ran up & down which caused a bit of noise. We called reception regarding this & mentioned at check out too. The hotel took some money off our bill due to the inconvenience caused. The staff really went out of their way throughout to make this a pleasant stay. We absolutely loved it here! Picturesque surroundings, super comfortable bed, amazing staff, delicious food. We will 100% return here & really look forward to doing so

We have just spent 3 lovely days at the lodge on Loch Lomond to attend a family wedding. Well on arrival we were met with a lovely warm welcome a very helpful receptionist nothing was too much trouble. We were allocated our room no 20 and when we opened the door there is only one word WOW. We checked the room out like in four in a bed not a bit of dust no hairs in the bed lol. It was spotless. Everything was there towels shampoo etc. the bed was to die for it was massive enough room for 3 people. Now to the food and drinks. Johnny introduced himself to me and in no uncertain terms made us very very welcome. He is very proud of his waiters waitress and chefs. Ok you have to book a table for evening meal but I tell u it’s worth it. Now the food well what can I say it’s outstanding both evening meal and breakfast. I can say without a shadow of doubt the staff at this hotel are outstanding the management must be very proud of them. On a final note unfortunately I did not get all of the staff names but all of them were very professional and helpful nothing was too much they just want to help you. Would we go back OF COURSE WE WILL. Thanks again for a very memorable stay especially the arrangements for our family wedding it was 100 per cent perfect. Thanks again

We paid for a Graham room with loch view and breakfast. The view was very underwhelming, really just a body of water. Perhaps it was because the weather sucks. The property is very old with urgent need of renovations. The floor is very uneven and it creaks, and there is this “old” kind of smell in the room, especially the sofa. Bathroom was really nice and bright though, most probably renovated. Nice shower and bath, separately. There are fluffy towels and bath ropes but surprisingly no slippers, fortunately we brought our own. Imagine having a great nice shower and then step out on not so clean floor…These place has so much potential but requires some tender loving care. Breakfast was good though with selections from the kitchen, especially if you have good appetite.

We had a lovely stay in the Beach House which is 3 miles from the main hotel. Room 303 has an amazing view from the room with a patio which is nice to sit out, although not particularly peaceful due to the busy road. The room is lovely and really big - there is plenty of space for some additional/bigger furniture - the tables were tiny and there were no shelves/drawers/hooks which was odd and would make a real difference. As expected after reading other reviews, the rooms are not sound proof and the doors close extremely loudly - even with earplugs it woke me up with a jump when a neighbour closed their door! There were some frustrations before we arrived when trying to book the restaurant - our online booking didn't save, it took over 2 weeks of emails to get the booking confirmed, there was confusion over prices because they weren't up to date on the app/website, and when I called to check restaurant availability I was told there wasn't any, only to find out later that there was. The staff were generally helpful although not very attentive in the restaurant - we went for morning tea (which was delicious and a great option for a later breakfast/brunch!) and were the only people in the whole restaurant. There were at least 4 members of staff stood talking but we asked for a bottle of water 3 times and the bill twice. In the end we went to the bar ourselves and got the water. Our only other suggestion would be to have more information at the Beach House as it does feel a bit cut off, for example it wasn't clear that we could drive down the narrow road to it, or that we could park outside of it, so we left the car in The Inn car park. We also didn't know if there would be housekeeping or how we could get more tea/coffee for the room. A neighbour walked onto our patio and asked if it was communal and we didn't know the answer, although looking at the room description online it says the room has a private patio but this wasn't clear. More signage and information would be helpful given there are no staff on site. Other than that we had a lovely time, were lucky with the weather and would return!

Just home from a few days celebrating a special birthday with family- outstanding!! Staff were so helpful & friendly. The Corbett rooms were huge with the most fantastic uninterrupted views of the Loch. Beds are massive and so comfortable Bathroom was very large with the fluffliest towels. We dined in the Colquhoun restaurant and can highly recommend their menu- every meal was delicious!!. We also trested ourselves to some spa trea**ents and came away thoroughly refreshed! Although, small the staff were friendly and the beds and pillows were warm, amazing. Weather was fab so all round a fantastic visit and one we hope to repeat soon x
