Hotels in Longji Terraced Field-Ping'An Zhuang Village, Longsheng

Our arrival to the village was a bit difficult and we might have been a tad grumpy after having to climb up 20minutes vertically from the bus stop to the hotel with our 2 heavy suitcases, but immediately upon arrival our mood took a 360 shift. The owner was super friendly and told us that he even tried to reach us to pick us up by car but couldn’t due to our international number. We then got a room upgrade and he showed us where we can head out to see the first sights. We originally planned to stay only 1 night, but ended up loving our stay so much that we stayed an extra evening. We had a very nice European breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful view and made friends with the local cat. All the hikes and cultural experiences around were amazing, we especially liked the Dazhai-Ping’an hike, with so many amazing sights and views along the road. Was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days in our 3 week trip in south China. At the end of our stay the owner drove us down to the bus. We would absolutely love to come back and spend a full week here in any other season.

Room is spacious and clean, food was great. Location is perfect, amazing view and within walking distance to 9 dragon 5 tiger view point. The owner came to the station to pick us up with his car and I am still amazed at how he carry our two large luggages 40lbs each with just a bamboo stick and walk up and down those stairs to the hotel, we were tired just to walk up with empty hand. Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

The location is great, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Ping'anzhai observation deck. The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains. Opening the balcony door from your room feels like you're living in the clouds. We went during the off-season, so there weren't many people. The guesthouse has a traditional Chinese architectural style, all solid wood, and the materials used are very substantial. The only downside is that you have to park in a designated parking lot quite far from the hotel, pay a high parking fee, and then buy an electric cart ticket to get up there. You can clearly drive up yourself, which I found very confusing and inconvenient.

Our stay was really nice and we enjoyed the view, fresh air and nature. The service was also friendly and helpful. She was really patient with our translating and was so kind to book us a car to get us to our next destination. We will for sure remember her kindness. Further, we must recommend her dish: beef potatoes. It was sooo tasty and spiced like Chinese-Western cuisine. Important: Our arrival was quite a journey booking a driver to drive us from Guilin to Longji. You must know that it is far away and you can’t drive to the hotel, only to the entry of the Longji Scenic area. There you have to buy tickets for the area if you did not book it in advance. There are some discounts for specific people, just translate the sign with the prices. After paying the entry ticket, you should buy a ticket for the sightseeing bus to take you up to your hotel. It is really a long way - wouldn’t recommend walking uphill to the hotel. The bus ticket also includes a return from your hotel back to the entry. Overall, recommending visiting the area and staying at the hotel.

Wonderful hotel and service was above and beyond. The location is brilliant because it’s closer to the rice terraces than any other but you will need to ask the hotel owner to collect you from the car park because it’s a 30 min walk otherwise. They also helped me to arrange a bus back to Guilin and called the driver for me as well as helping me to buy a ticket for the Huangluo Yao village show. The room itself is beautiful and the pictures were extremely accurate

The owners, both the husband and wife, are incredibly kind. I originally booked a small room, but the landlady proactively upgraded me to a bigger room for free, saying she wanted us to be more comfortable. 👍 They invited us to warm up by the fire and even washed fruit for us to share with their child. We also had dinner at their place, and it was super delicious; the owner even gave us some rice wine. The next morning, when we were heading out, the owner gave us some sweet potatoes and taro from their own farm, which were incredibly sweet. Overall, everything was wonderful, and it truly felt like coming home. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Longji.

Vegetarian food! The best I have had in China so far cooked by the wonderful lady at this hotel. The hotel is also perfect. The room was very big with a huge very comfortable bed and the bright green of the terraces through the big picture window and from the balcony, we're just extraordinary; a tonic for the soul. Breakfast was perfect. The couple who run the hotel were extremely kind and friendly and their daughter extremely helpful over Wechat. The first view point of the terraces overlooks the hotel and the hike around the terraces just great. I recommend this hotel 100%.

Very satisfied, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, the location is excellent, plus the parking lot pick-up service, you can check in directly without any effort, especially suitable for bringing children. There is a staircase next to the homestay, which is very convenient to Jiulong Wuhu, Zhaizi Center, Qixing Banyue and other places. The proprietress is hospitable and thoughtful. The Longji rice wine given is delicious, and the farm dishes, bamboo tube rice and bamboo tube chicken ordered are delicious.

We had an amazing time at Longji one art hotel! The place is beautiful, full of original photos and art. Our room had an amazing view and the beds were comfortable. The food was carefully prepared for us and delicious. It was the best food we had during our whole China trip. Our wonderful hosts made us feel so welcome. Like we were friends arriving for a visit. The town of Ping’an is magical and the walks around the mountains were spectacular. If you are going to Ping’an to see the Rice Terraces you should stay at Longji one art hotel. It will be the highlight of your vacation!

What a splendid stay! Jason, his wife and the rest of the hotel staff are lovely. This is a family run boutique hotel, impeccably maintained, with excellent service and a convenient location near the Ping’an parking lot and about 10 minutes below Ping’an new town. The main sites of Seven Stars with Moon and Nine Dragons and Five Tigers are a leisurely 2 hour combined round-trip hike. We had a 3rd floor room with a wonderful view of the mountains and lower rice fields, and the peaceful sound of the nearby waterfall. The restaurant is also excellent, serving the local delicacies like bamboo chicken. A bonus is Jason’s perfect English. I highly recommend Baike hotel. Thank you!
