No.1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa

my boyfriend and I stayed at no 1 last week celebrating my 21st birthday and had the most magical time. The staff went above and beyond for me all whilst remaining very professional, they made sure we had everything we needed and more. Such friendly and kind people. It’s quite a cool and trendy hotel in the heart of limerick city, with lots of instagram worthy picture locations which i enjoyed. We stayed in a period room, it was pristine among arrival and the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept in. The food was fab, the pancakes i had for breakfast were some of the nicest i’ve ever had and the fresh orange juice topped it off. I had a back massage and facial with grace in the spa, who did an amazing job i felt so relaxed and refreshed after wards. The spa has a real zen feel to it with the darker lighting and candle lit hallways, really enjoyed being able to grab a herbal tea on the way to the sauna! i’d really recommend no 1 pery square to anyone who’s looking for a city getaway. It really has all you need in the one place great staff, great food, great spa, etc but also lovely restaurants, bars, parks and transportation surrounding it!

We've been here a couple times now for lunches and also got spa treatments, we both loved it. Food is fab, service is grand and the decor is super, nothing bad to say at all. Spa is awesome, a hidden gem in Limerick City. We had a couple's treatment, it was lovely. Staff and decor superb. Can't say enough good. What a great experience, you'd never know you were in the middle of the city.

I'm writing this on the second evening of our two night stay at No. 1 Pery Square. We were in Limerick for a wedding and decided to spend a couple of evenings exploring the city beforehand, and we found No. 1 on the Blue Book site. We were immediately impressed when we arrived, the hotel has just reopened after refurbishments and it shows. Every space is a lovely combination of Period elegance with modern touches. We stayed in the Park room, one of the Period rooms, and we were sincerely blown away when we walked in. From the beautiful decorations to the massive copper tub in the bathroom, the whole room was incredible. We had booked one of the standard Club rooms and the hotel had discretely upgraded us to the fancier room without charge or fuss, we didn't even realise until the second night! The bar and the long room are similarly beautiful spaces, and the cocktails were among the best we've had. We ate in the hotel both nights, which would be rare for us with so many options on the doorstep, and both evenings we loved the food (special mention to some of the smaller plates, the tepenade and the tater tots were our favourites). The breakfast was similarly excellent. I am a vegan and my wife is vegetarian, and we were both very well catered to. Finally I have to mention the staff. Seamus the manager is an absolute gentleman, and both he and his colleague (I didn't catch her name but it might have been Mary) took fantastic care of us the whole time we were there. The service here was 5 star quality and we can't speak more highly of them. We were expecting a nice stay in a hotel that looked lovely on the website, but this exceeded that - we genuinely feel this was one of the nicest hotel experiences we've ever had. We can't wait to return!

Very enjoyable stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Had breakfast and a lunch, both excellent. Nearby parking was convenient. Prime location in Limerick. Will stay there the next time we go to Limerick. Recommend highly.

A friend and I stayed at No.1 Pery Square in March while attending the Literary Festival. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. But I must commend the staff. Everyone was above and beyond pleasant, helpful and nothing was too much to ask. I wish I remembered everyone’s name. Julia and everyone at the front desk were great. The restaurant and spa staff were marvelous. The rooms were lovely and peaceful and quiet. I just cannot recommend No. 1 Pery Square enough and if I get to come back to the Festival next year I know where I’ll be staying!

Called to reserve afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. I purposefully called to ensure I could get a reservation. Got there to be told I had been emailed and I had needed to respond to confirm my reservation as I had not noticed the email my reservation was cancelled. If I called them to make the booking they should have called me if they wanted to reconfirm. Luckily we were able to find a lovely restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day.

My favourite hotel in Ireland, not just Limerick. Have been 3 times over the past few years with friends and family, and regularly recommend to others. The staff, the building, the area's history, the warm cozy atmosphere - a great place to stay this time of year. Perfect for a mini-break, with museums, the park, and lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The highlight: the spa!

The location is superb. Close to the train/bus station and away from the bustle of city traffic. Adjacent to the peoples park in a Georgian terrace. A great place for a solo traveller. Parking was not ideal, as it is across the street and down a lane. The staff at 1 Pery are friendly and helpful. My room was the perfect size, not too big and definitely not too small. No view, but I wasn't there for the view. However, looking across at another guest room was not something I wanted so I closed the curtain on that window. The other overlooked motley flat roofs - not picturesque. The bathroom had both bath and shower, which was excellent. Less than excellent was the lack of a shaver outlet for my electric toothbrush. And the sound effects from other rooms/other guests trying (?) to lock/unlock their doors was disconcerting. However, all was quiet after midnight. I would definitely stay here again. Then there was the Spa.....now that is an experience all in itself. I would recommend this spa to anyone. It is so quiet, peaceful. The treatment I had was over 1.5 hrs. At €135 I considered it very good value. Back neck and shoulder massage with full facial. You HAVE to try this. I chose a strong massage as I can't be dealing with faffing ... and it was amazing. My facial skin felt totally renewed afterwards. Go..go...you have to try this. Wonderful staff and everything had a calm unrushed quality even though they couldn't find my booking (made by the front desk) when I arrived.
