This is a brand new property in the Holiday Inn Express lineup, in which we have great trust. Checking in on 9-14-19, however, we had a minor cleanliness issue. We called the front desk, who immediately offered to move us to another room. We declined, as it really was a minor issue easily remedied. The Housekeeping Supervisor, Ashley, arrived within minutes, and with her assistant, made short, efficient work of fixing the problem.... then came back later with a ”goodie bag” of bottled waters and fruit, and a handwritten note apologizing for our inconvenience.

Stayed here twice on a road trip between Vancouver, Canada and Santa Barbara. It’s an older basic Hampton Inn and decor is a bit tired but it’s spotlessly clean throughout and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s conveniently close to I5 in an area that felt quite safe - unlike some I5 overnight hotels where car break-ins are often reported in these reviews. Would stay again no problem.
