Just returned from a weeks holiday at the hotel Best Indalo. Booked with Jet2 all inclusive and was one of the best holidays ever. I went with a friend, also in her mid seventies and we each had our own room. I had emailed the hotel asking if we could be next door to each other, overlooking the garden area and close to a lift. Ana-Mari emailed back stating she would do her best to comply and ensure we had a wonderful stay. I knew that very little English would be spoken as Mojacar is not your typical Benidorm type resort and most visitors are Spanish with a few British holiday makers but what a wonderful place it is. Glad to have discovered this secret corner of Spain. Check In was fine with some English spoken and some Spanish by me. Rooms were great, on 5th floor with sea view and garden view. Two queen sized beds in the room, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers, large tv on the wall. Plenty of choice in the restaurant and lots of fish and sea food if that is what you like. I don't but still found lots to enjoy. Very few were all inclusive as most guests were Spanish. They brought us a bottle of wine when only one glass was required but we noticed this was the norm. Even a small jug of Sangria was enough for 4 glasses. Cocktails served down in the bar were delicious and not the sweet sickly stuff you seem to get now in all inclusive hotels. All staff (and guests) were friendly to us, even those who did not have much English.. As it was only the 3rd week of the season there was no daytime entertainment but this didn't matter to us. The evening entertainment was geared to Spanish visitors who love to dance to Spanish music although one night the female singer did include a handful of English speaking songs. Again this did not trouble us. We were happy to watch folk having a good time. There was a mini disco for kiddies at 9.30pm, again all in Spanish. If you take your family expecting the usual entertainment of Bingo, Quizes, Games and English songs all night, you will be disappointed. Imagine a Spanish family visiting the Cornish Riviera and feeling excluded because they don't understand the comedian, etc. If you want a peaceful laid back holiday in a beautiful setting and the choice of being round the pool or on the grass under the trees you will love it. I am considering going back later in the year on my own.
