We booked a room on the hotel website and they offered us free dinner. Once there, the very haughty receptionist didn't want to hear anything even though it was clearly indicated free dinner on our reservation. I made him see live on their site a reservation. He didn't want to call his manager. Did not want to recognize their error if there was an error and of course did not offer us anything as compensation.
