A stylish hotel over looking the lake. The main town is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

This is a cute little boutique hotel situated near to Lake Tekapo and 15 mins drive to Mount John. It is good location as it is very near to the city centre where many shops, restaurants and a big supermarket are located. The service of this hotel is tip top and they serve breakfast to your room on a daily basis so we can eat while enjoying the lake view . Breakfast is great as well and I would like to give special comment about this hotel staff (Yvonne) who is very helpful and friendly and made good recommendation where to visit around Lake Tekapo. The room although not too big but it has a starlight which we can gaze the stars from the bed, it is quite interesting (but the room has to be in complete darkness). It is also near to the Church of the good shepherd and the view is so spectacular sitting just beside the lake.

Very smart that the breakfast is included in the booking, saving us time and effort. Everything is super clean, staff are all very helpful and friendly, I had great chats with them, and received a lot of help.

The hotel is really beautiful with lake view. And the room has upper window to see stars at night.

Very clean, nice and friendly staff. Would choose this hotel again if we visit Lake Tekapo again Couldn’t really see the stars clearly through the window in room, it was cold on the day we visited and theres ice blocked 1/3 of the window in the ceiling which affected stargazing.

The hotel description is truly misleading! When I checked it out on Trip.com, I was given the impression that every room has a skylight window to watch stars from the room. For the exact reason, I booked two nights for $600/night. But when I checked in, I realized that my room is on the ground floor without a skylight window at all. When I brought the issue to the reception desk, and I was told to discuss with my concern with Trip.com. I felt that I was completely deceived by the hotel or Trip.com. In fact, this hotel is a very average one, and it should not cost more than $150-170/night. On the other hand, the bathroom looks dirty, and breakfast is average. This is my first time to publicly post my negative experience simply because I don’t want other folks to get tricked.

Room is very cleaning. All staffs are very friendly. Breakfast is good. Recommend to stay in the hotel.

Everything is great. If not the water pressure, Galaxy definitely is perfect! Love it! Will stay with them again.
