Pretty good for what it is. It was the only hotel in the area that still had rooms at a reasonable price right before New Years. Furniture is old and basic, but clean. Nice to have a hot tub on cold, snowy nights. We were just passing through the area, but this was definitely a good home-base for doing things around Lake Placid for a day. Breakfast was fairly sp****, but Rodeways don't usually have breakfast at all, so I wasn't expecting anything.

I’ve been coming to LP for over 40 years and stayed at various hotels and camps . I was looking for something newer and saw this hotel driving by it the last time we visited. We had a standard room with no balcony which didn’t overlook the lake. You need to book when there’s no sports event etc going on for a better choice. The room was clean, bed was quite comfortable , ac kept the room super cool. For the price, breakfast buffet was included. This was good and very convenient. We enjoyed the busy location for a change . Normally we like total quiet but this time it was fun to watch everyone enjoying themselves on the beach etc. It’s convenient to walk into town too. I didn’t care for the typical hotel pillows that squash to nothing but next time we will bring our own.. No biggie. The staff was interested in making sure yourre pleased and were helpful to us.
