We've lodged in dozens of hotels the past few years, and overall had pleasant experiences. But even with this high bar, The Devlin Olympic Inn is a standout, a lodge whose architecture calls to mind Howard Johnson but without the plasticity. The Devlin seems a gem -- a comfortable, updated accomodation with a responsive staff and ideally located to enjoy the many diversions offered in downtown Lake Placid -- and beyond. And for devotees of the Olympics, the hotel has the added appeal of serving as a museum to its founder, Olympic ski jumper Art Devlin, with his many trophies in the lodge's commons area, along with photos of Devlin's remarkable history. The hotel is a destination in its own right!

We love staying at The Devlin. It is very cozy and conveniently located in the village of Lake Placid. The staff is very friendly and professional, and they are attentive to the needs of their guests. Rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. They offer a nice continental breakfast. The Devlin is our favorite place to stay when we visit Lake Placid.

Very disappointed stay. I book this one for a 3 night stay base on their good reviews. After my experience I highly doubt how they got 4 stars reviews ? This property is very poorly maintained and their mattress are very old no support at all. After 2 nights sleep my back screwed. I could not bind my back and hardly walk and suffering a lot of pain. I end up leavening earlier. My husband explained to front desk the situation. The front desk girl is refusing to refund us the 1 night charge. see chiropractor multiple times to get my back adjusted. Not recommended.

Great location smack dab in the middle of the town of Lake Placid. Clean and comfortable, very large room. Common room for breakfast was loaded with historic ski jumping trophies!

parking lot froze in spots late evening, wasn't salted timely.

Room was large and clean with no odours. Beds were extra soft. Only one extra comforter. No fan in the bathroom but ceilings were high. Staff were very friendly. Late check in was our room key and receipt left on reception counter for us to pick up. That was a little worrisome to anticipate but it worked well. Location was good. We would return here in the future.

Good location , rooms were spacious . We were here in 40 degree weather in the fall and it took 3-4 hours to heat the room to 65. “Breakfast “. Was extremely limited in choices.
Overall I would rate it as average.

Comfortable beds, great shower pressure, plenty of hot water, clean, cute. The only thing I might suggest is a bigger refrigerator.
