We loved every bit of our Total Eclipse long weekend stay. The staff were super friendly and accommodating! They asked for any dietary restrictions and followed through for me by having gluten free options. The wait staff were amazing as was the food. We felt pampered by their attention to details. Would definitely go back if we wander to Lake Placid again.

My husband and I did the 7 course wine tasting and it was absolutely delightful every course that came out had a perfect mix of flavors. We are looking forward to our next dinner date here, it is the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion, the prices were great and the quality of service and the food even greater, the chef Billy even came out afterwards to say hello and asked how our meal was which was a nice touch he is truly talented. Lilly was our waitress and she was very kind and attentive.

Had a wonderful stay. The oldest house in Lake Placid - rustic and beautiful. The staff was fantastic - Sam (Bartender), Lily (Waitress) , Billy (Chef), Mel and Janine were cohesive and fun. We spent one night at their little bar with the staff and had a wonderful time. They clearly like each other and help each other. The owners are lucky to have them. Great group!

We had the best meal last night. It’s an intimately small dining room, and you feel like the entire staff is catering to only you. Chef puts out an amazing meal. We had lamb chops, cod, sautéed cheese, and an awesome poached pear puff pastry dessert.

This is the second year in a row we visited the Stagecoach Inn and our experience was just as magical as the first time in 2023. (I wrote a long review on Google last year). The highlight is how EVERYTHING is memorable: culinary options, the service and staff, and the ambience. The dinner - creative, DELICIOUS, and beautifully plated. Everything from the garlic oil on the butternut squash bisque to the olives in the tapenade in the winter veggie pot pie to the perfectly cooked, spare rib "lollipop" with some kind of candied bacon topping (it was GOOD - not that candied bacon you can buy at fairs) ... I only wish this restaurant was close to where we live! The Szchechuan Creme Brulee was a lovely dessert. Huge kudos to the Chef. The other highlight... the cocktail menu! I'm a mezcal lover and there were no fewer than 3 different cocktails with mezcal in them... That was only dinner. .. The Innkeeper made sure we had a parking spot when we arrived after a long drive in snow showers. The cheese board we pre-ordered was delicious. The room was cozy, perfectly clean, a mix of rustic and modern. We warmed up with a hot bath. Breakfast was also full of star-studded courses. We had, this time, an omlette roulade as the main course. My biggest delight? The butter that came with the scone was NOT ROCK SOLID HARD! Many times when butter comes out it's straight from the fidge. Not this one! And of course, nearby, there is all an outdoor winter lover wants. We skied at the Nordic Center 6 minutes away and had a dreamy time. Though there are many lovely places in Lake Placid, we plan on returning.

Whoa! We were excited to have dinner at Stagecoach Inn, but didn’t really know what to expect. The space is gorgeous and cozy, feels very ADK. Our server was attentive and informative, and the food? WOW. It was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. Perfectly tender steak, amazing appetizers and sides, and the dessert that was made to order was DIVINE. It’s the first reservation we make when heading to Lake Placid. Don’t miss this gem.

We stayed in the 1st floor Jenny suite. The staff are welcoming & work to give guests a positive experience. According to staff it’s the oldest building in Lake Placid, so you must expect & appreciate some quirks of old buildings. Pros: gourmet food, beautiful big porch, good bed, nice staff—We asked for coffee at 7am & it was brought to our room, before the normal breakfast time & boy did we appreciate that! Cons: the bathroom door doesn’t shut at all, it’s about 1-2” too big for the frame, could not open a window for fresh air, but there is good AC. It’s on a busy road, a few miles from town. Other: the rooms are paneled in dark wood & you may find this charming or too closed in. Some of my friends would love this place & others would dislike it. Restaurant: breakfast is included and it’s gourmet, but there are no choices of what you have. I feel like there dhould be at least 2choices. Dinner was top notch and pricey, with nice selections. A stuffed raccoon stared me down from the mantle as I ate a perfectly prepared steak! You have the be a person who enjoys uniqueness to stay here, not a person who only likes a typical hotel room. We got a kick out of it, and also it seems like the kind of place that would be cozy to visit in winter.

Beautiful and cozy babymoon. My husband and I were only there for a long weekend but we had such a nice time. Service was great, Donna and Greg were so hospitable, and the food was amazing! The town is really cute too, and we could do some hiking, and see all the historical Olympics spots. Would definitely recommend the Inn and the town!

Stagecoach Inn was a friendly, warm, welcoming and wonderful experience! I can't say enough! From the moment we walked in the door through saying 'see you next year'! Innkeepers Donna and Greg made sure to ask any questions, offer information and tips of the area, take great care of our needs and wants-we felt taken care of on a personal level. Record cold temps the weekend we visited-it was nice to come 'home' to many big, fluffy blankets scattered throughout the big house and the fireplace warm and cozy. Happy hour each evening was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious & filling, as well as intimate-served right outside our bedroom door. Thank you for the true authentic ADK experience we were looking for - we are sharing it with all our friends!
