Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. Close to a lot of shops which makes it convenient for groceries, pharmacy and food.

Overall, this is a cheap hotel with middle price range. Rooms rate are between MYR60 to MYR150 per night. No elevator here. You will have to go up by using stairs. For youngsters that is ok but for seniors and old people it will be a little bit hard and and uncomfortable for them especially for senior age people with knee pain and back pain. Reception desk is at ground floor next to the main entrance. Location of this hotel is strategic because it is only 2-4 minutes walk to nearby night market. The Lahad Datu Post Office is next to the hotel building then the market is next to the Lahad Datu Post Office. If you drive a car you can park your car overnight at Post Office parking area which is free. This hotel is located in busy road.

[26.10.2022] The receptionists are extremely bad at hospitality. One is on the phone, sitting, doesn't even acknowledge our entrance by eye contact, another just sit and look at us and does not even speak a word until we start. No welcome, no greet and no smile. When asked questions, answers are short and rude. It is odd why the hotel manager unable to deliver basic hospitality. Good look with no intelligence apa guna? It is highly not recommended to stay here, just stay elsewhere.

Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Very kind staff who are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We are grateful to Eric, Gordon, Amsyar, Lisa and all the Sea Star Resort staff. We will be back! My room (superior king room) was big and clean, but smelled a bit weird, it might be the smell of the sanitiser. The building from inside is newly renovated (renovation is still in progress), the lobby looks very nice, the staff is nice and friendly, but they have no restaurant, no small bar, no lounge, nothing. And the most disappointing thing: I could smell in my room that someone(s) smoke in the corridor or somewhere close! It was crazy disgusting! Smoking is not allowed in the building, but unfortunately they cannot detect it, since there is no smoke detector, which is dangerous.

I don’t expcted much but I really enjoy 2D2N styed here. Greeting by Mr Kenny during arrived who help me to upgrad my room from deluxe queen to King with view at 107….. Besides, one of the lovely staff (Mrs Shima) whos cleanup my room she was friendly too. Thank you so much Shima from the day one till we leave you’re lovely person. Staying at Manju Linshe Resort was the wisest decision I made during this trip to Semporna, and I highly recommend it. The boss is Cantonese and very nice. Most of the employees are Chinese and communication is smooth. Accommodation: The room is spacious and the flowers in the yard are beautiful and comfortable. Much more comfortable than the hotels in Semporna town. OK: The hotel is 10 minutes away from the town's sea pier. There is a car to pick you up and drop you off every day when you go out to sea and island hopping. Just tell the boss the location on WeChat. Food: The boss personally leads a team to the seafood market to bargain for prices. Huge Pipi shrimps can cost dozens of yuan, and Samui and Dongxing Pan can cost dozens of yuan each. Three kilograms of lobster cost several hundred yuan. And the hotel makes it according to the requirements, and the taste is not inferior to that of domestic five-star hotels. Play: The boss can help you book a sea trip at any time. We booked two lines. After having fun, we decided to book a third line. The boss directly booked the ship for departure the next day at the original price. Summary: Semporna is mainly about island hopping and eating cheap seafood. I originally wanted to live on an island, but the price was expensive, so I had to book it months in advance. If you live on an island, you cannot jump to other islands. And you can only eat buffets on the island. The living conditions in the town are much worse, and there are so many people and it’s chaotic. Cheap seafood is one of Semporna’s special features. Staying at Manju Linshe Resort, you can eat seafood freely at one-tenth the domestic price. I earned my travel expenses back after eating for three days. I jumped on all three lines of the island hopping tour. Saw the beautiful scenery of the island. The seafood is delicious, and it costs the most for a day on the island. Plus the boss's home-like service. Don't be too happy with the price/performance ratio.

I stayed in a 4-bed dormitory. The room is spacious as you can see in the photo. The bunk bed is sturdy and the bedding is very good. I like the open air reception area where you can chat with other guests and exchange diving experience. The kitchen is decent. It is located near the waterfront, so everything is in walking distance. My only problem is the wifi. Its signal is strong but with little to no connectivity during my entire stay. The staff has been informed. Overall, a pleasant stay.
