Hotel Servigroup Venus

Great locations very friendly staff nothing too much trouble half board option was excellent really nice food highly recommended

My boyfriend and I booked to stay here as our first holiday abroad together (21 & 22). The hotel itself is situated in a very central location that is close to the nightlife of Benidorm as well as a short walk to the seafront. When booking our holiday, the hotel stated that we would be in a twin room, I emailed the hotel to request a double bed, this was provided, no problem. I had not booked nor paid extra for a room with a pool view but we had one! You could also see the sea through the buildings infront of us (we were facing Cafe Benidorm). Although being amongst the younger generations of the hotel guests, my boyfriend and I still had a lovely time away. The pool was great (Open 10am-8pm) and usually it was just the 2 of us in it. The sunbathing area around the pool was hit by sun for most of the day, making it a great place to lie down and relax. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast which we had included was buffet style, offering many options. Each night the hotel would offer live music in the Dracma Cafe downstairs by the bar/pool area that would attract many of the older guests, but my boyfriend and I enjoyed having a few drinks there before going back to bed after being out for dinner in the evening. Tropicana Cocktails were €14 for 2, which we drank very many of, all week The only downside to the hotel would be the comfort of the beds, which were on the hard side, and the air-con which didn’t work therefore we had to keep the balcony door open all day and sometimes all night, this was fine but at night the noise from close bars and clubs would keep us awake. But I suppose with being so central you must sacrifice some things. The maids were up and about early cleaning, every day, even if we did not want them to clean our room a particular day they would still offer us towels, and even on our last day when we said we were fine for clean towels, the lovely maid still popped some clean ones in for us. On the whole, the Venus hotel was a lovely place to stay, opposite the Helios hotel which also looked very nice, but we noticed that the sun hit the Venus much more. This was my first trip to Benidorm, and I was pleased to have got such a good hotel on my first attempt. Room This was the thing that marked the hotel down to 4. The room was very small and required some sideways shuffling to get around. The balcony was OK. The beds were very creaky and shaky. The worst part was, the door to the balcony had obviously been forced in the past and although it locked, the bottom corner was bent so didn't seal meaning I could hear everything that went on outside as if I was sleeping in the street. Dining Excellent. The staff were very friendly. The food was genuinely excellent, and there was a constantly changing menu on. You paid for your drinks but they weren't expensive. If you get a bottle of wine, they will put the cork back in and label it so you can finish it at another meal. Pool The pool area was clean, and in late August, it was very quiet. There were always sunbeds available. The staff ran activities through the day, and you could do some aqua aerobics, play bingo, darts competitions....that sort of thing. Bars The bar was spotless and very nice, though it didn't get used much as everyone tended to stay outside. Location The hotel is perfectly located just a short stroll from the *****. It's about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a nice half hour stroll to the old town.

Returned back to venus with my mum April despite all the rain during our week we had a great time. Mum was struggling being on the 7th floor though.i have emailed the hotel to reqest a very low floor on our next visit end of July. The staff from reception, bar staff restaurant staff and domestics was all very polite and lovely. Our cleaner for room 702 was amazing she was so friendly and nice. The food was amazing with a good variety for everyone. The restaurant is also spotless and staff lovely and friendly they work very hard. The hotel is in a fabulous location close to all the shops bars restaurants. We can not wait to go back all in all we have been to this hotel around 8 times and hopefully many more visits ahead.

Another visit to the Venus Hotel. We seem to keep going back there despite trying other hotels. We know most staff and they know us. Florin in the Restaurant, Lola, the manager, and David in the bar all deserve a mention. The food was fine with lots of choice. If it wasn't warm enough, then there were microwaves provided. The outdoor entertainment programme kept us busy when not sunbathing. The drinks were very good value for money. The only issue was the heat from the poolside tiles. It was not the fault of the hotel, but I have neuropathy in my feet and did not feel the burn until it was too late. The result was an infection in my foot. This did not clear up, and on 1st December, I had to have my toe amputated. This is now healed, and I will be returning in May, having got waterproof footwear for the pool area.

Hotel kept clean and in an excellent location for most things and the food was good and plenty of selection for everyone

5 of us came here for 4 nights. On check in we were disappointed that we had rooms in different buildings. 2 in one and 3 in the other. We booked as a group. Also the heating was on at this time of year, no air con yet which we weren't told about. Made our room like an oven until we realized! Slept with balcony door open. For 3 of you in 1 room it's a bit squashed as they add another single bed so you can't get to the dressing table. Needs a kettle in the room and a fridge that works. Shower was good. We had a great stay and the staff were nice. It is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very good. The location is perfect. Pool is freezing cold in April but we still went in. Plenty of loungers. I would definitely stay here again.

Been to this hotel 4 times now & every stay has been amazing, the staff work so hard & they really look after you. The food is lovely & there is a good selection its well stocked too. The hotel is spotlessly clean & all the staff are really friendly. Love the location of the hotel too, going back in october.

This was our first stay at The Venus. Sometime after booking, I emailed the hotel to request a quiet room over looking the pool. On arrival in early afternoon we were checked in and on our way to the room within 10 minutes, and the room was on the 7th floor over looking the pool in the block to the right of the reception desk. Great service. The room wasn't huge, but was spotlessly clean, the beds were sturdy & very comfortable, there was plenty storage for the 2 of us, TV, fridge & free safe. The bathroom had a fantastic walk in shower, hairdryer, large mirror above the sink and plenty good towels. The balcony had a clothes drying rack on the wall which was handy. The pool area was great with loads of sunbeds available at any time, toilets, pool tables, darts, a snack bar which had all drinks and some snack meals at decent prices. We were on bed & breakfast so didn't have other meals in the buffet restaurant, but the breakfast has everything you could want, and caters for English tastes, so there is back bacon provided and decent tea bags for example, as long as all usual things you expect to find. All the food we had was good stuff. The hotel had entertainment in the bar/lounge area at night, but I can't really comment on it as we were out every night enjoying the bars of Benidorm with friends. The position of the hotel is perfect, just a short stroll away from all the bars & entertainment of the new town, and a 5 to 10 minute walk from the promenade/ Levante beach. Despite being near some busy bars/clubs we had no issues with noise at night what so ever. The whole of the hotel was in great condition, spotlessly clean and all the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English. Would I use this hotel again....yes I definitely would.
