Went with my mom and had a great trip. The hotel is pretty discretely tucked away, but very close to the bus stop. The room is a good size and comfortable winter coat was provided for those going out to an onsen. They even had heated blankets!

Simple is the best ! The location, price and service are great, no need to think about . If I visit again , Kusatsu Onsen Futabaya for sure will be my first choice ! 😉

Yubatake is also nearby and the location is good. However, the service is a bit lacking, especially the attitude of the foreign staff. The bathhouse is a private bath and not a public bathhouse, so it feels private, but it is inconvenient to have to wait a long time during overlapping hours. There are two bathrooms, and they have lotions, so it's easy to use.

The rooms are ok, the service is good, the staff speaks English very well, I recommend it.

The room was clean, but perhaps due to the location, the room we stayed in didn't get much sunlight and was dark even in the morning, which was a bit disappointing. Kusatsu Onsen is a place worth visiting. It takes about five minutes to walk from the hotel. The location is convenient. I will choose it next time.
