Cheapest hotel we could find and we liked it! The rooms were good and the workers were very helpful. The TV was broken but other than that we didn’t have other complains. If we were to travel there again we would definitely consider going back to the hotel. We didn’t visit the “breakfast” area, as they don’t really have anything there except for waffles

Good – This hotel is in a great location for wandering about the town, down near the waterfront and well away from the main roads crossing town from east to west. The room was small as expected and there is no luxury here but it was super clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed and the linens were good. There is no breakfast but there is a kitchen in the basement for preparing meals and they also have deals with local cafes. In the afternoons, there is coffee, waffle mix and jam in the kitchen to make your own waffles. It enabled me to use up the last of my Norwegian brown cheese and they were delicious, so that was a tick from me. Aside from some issues with their payment link, it was a good stay. Recommended.

We had a six night stay in one of the apartments and it was great! Hina the manager was super helpful with all our questions and making sure we had what we needed. Warm, cozy beds, all the essentials. It had the feel of an Airbnb with the perks of staying at a hotel. Fresh towels when needed, someone to come in and take out the trash, fresh make-your-own afternoon/evening waffles in the main building and helpful staff. I would recommend this place and definitely would stay here again.

We had booked a double room at Sjoglott in Kristianssand, arriving late because of a delayed ferry. When we came, they had given us a (very small) single room and linned for one person! We knew the reception was unmanned but a phonenumber could be used to sent a textmessage after 9 pm. However, no one responded on our wish to have more linned or a proper double room. Since then we have written to the hotel but no reply at all. So they take your money, give you the wrong room and give your no service at all. Don't go there.

Voor ons was het hotel ideaal vermits wij rond 5 uur aankwamen met de ferry. Het hotel kwam helemaal overeen met hun beschrijving, self check-in, geen avondeten en geen ontbijt stond heel duidelijk op hun website. En dat is helemaal geen probleem. Sjoglott hotel is mooi en rustig gelegen maar ook kort bij het centrum waar je vele eetgelegenheden kan vinden. Er is een parking voorzien waar je moet voor betalen en reserveren. De kamers zijn niet zo heel groot maar wel gerieflijk. De badkamer was zeker ruim genoeg. De self check in werkt heel gemakkelijk. Je krijgt in de loop van aankomstdag een bericht met de nodige informatie, alsook een telefoonnummer in geval van problemen. De info is een code om binnen te geraken aan de voordeur en een code om je sleutel uit de beveiligde box te halen. Dit werkte prima zonder problemen. Beneden in de kelder is een keuken die je mag gebruiken. Er is koffie en er staat ook gerief klaar om wafels te bakken. Het bed is prima, goede matrassen, goed geslapen. Zij geven geen ontbijt wel een adres waar je kan ontbijten maar er zijn diverse mogelijkheden in de buurt om het ontbijt te nuttigen. Het adres vanuit het hotel wordt opgegeven opent pas om 9 uur. Eventueel kan je zelfs take away nemen en op het gezellige terras opeten. Goed verblijf aan een goede prijs en zou zelfs voor meerdere dagen kunnen.

Abbiamo trascorso una notte in questo hotel molto carino, e molto vicino al centro città e con personale molto disponibile. Le camere sono pulite ma non sono molto grandi e soprattutto manca l'armadio, però molto accoglienti. Sicuramente ci tornerei.
