Hotel Europejski

Krakow|0.17km from restauracJa Orient ekspres
A good sized and well located hotel, it’s just a short stroll from the main train station and a few minutes’ walk to the old town. Décor wise it feels quite dated, both in the reception area and the rooms, but everything was clean, tidy and in full working order. The room was just about an adequate size, we had requested a twin which came with one double bed and one single, and there was little or no room to the side of each bed with one being up against the wall and one against the windows. Two singles would have worked a little better perhaps. There was also a small sofa and a small round table. The beds were very comfy and our room was facing on to the internal courtyard so no noise from outside at all, although being adjacent to the lift we did get a bit of noise from that, but nothing too intrusive. The temperature in both the room and the rest of the hotel was far too warm, quite hot in fact. There was an air conditioning unit in the room, but using energy to both heat the room and then cool it seems ridiculous. The shower was on the small side, but hot and powerful. Other facilities included tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary bottles of water, TV and a safe. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet affair, with the only hot options being a frankfurter style sausage and scrambled egg. There was a good cold spread though, with meats, cheeses, tomato & mozzarella, hard boiled eggs and a few mixed up concoctions – presumably the Polish equivalents of coleslaw and potato salad, but whatever they were, they were quite pleasant, and also some cereals. What was very much lacking was any prepared fruit (just a few whole apples), yoghurts (none at all) and pastries (just bread and rolls). Overall, I thought this was a pretty good hotel given the price, it’s a very good location, staff were friendly enough and I’d have no problem with recommending it if you’re on a tight budget.

Matejko Hotel

Breakfast is average, the hotel is located in the center of the city, shopping and playing are very convenient, but it makes me uncomfortable. The platform says that there is free parking. I spent 50pld and stopped overnight.
Hotel Polonia

The hotel is right next to the ancient city and there is a modern shopping centre in a very good location. The hotel itself is a bit old, but from the architectural style, she must have been beautiful and rich when she was young. The breakfast is very rich, the restaurant is very romantic, it is not comparable to the German hotel at the same price. This is a business trip for one night, and I will go to the leisure tour once more and stay for a few more days.
Hotel Floryan Old Town

The hotel is located on the bustling pedestrian street of the Old Town, about 500 meters from the Grand Bazaar and less than 100 meters from the city. There is a bus stop there and the traffic is very convenient. But it was a bit noisy at night, and there was a bar 50 meters across the street. The waiter was very polite and stood up and greeted the guests every time they walked through the front desk. Krakow is beautiful and well worth a visit. Unfortunately, breakfast is more monotonous.
Hotel Downtown Krakow

Single room at a competitive price drew ne in. Walking distance to bus and train stations. It is hidden away at the end of a one way street, and not well signed outside. Room was small and basic, not sure if double rooms are bigger. Small shower in the bathroom that functions perfectly well. Double bed, but the quilt is thin and too small to covet the whole bed. Tried to turn on the temperature control but no joy, also radiator same problem. One plug socket next to the bed, and so a choice between bedside lamp or charging phone. Two plug sockets next too the desk and chair alongside a mirror and very small wardrobe. View from the window was of the back courtyard.
Vienna House by Wyndham Andel's Cracow

This hotel was just about perfect. Only a 3- block walk to the largest medieval square in Europe and a $2 FreeNow app (cheaper than Uber) taxi ride to Wawel Castle, Schindler Museum, and the amazing Jewish quarter. The rooms are decent sized and very well sound-proofed. Each guest can pick a plant to care for during their stay. You are given a reward if you decline full daily housekeeping. Staff at the front desk and restaurant speak great English and were very helpful. The buffet is great with lots of fresh fruit and the best fish I had in Poland. The shower actually has a door and the AC was great. Views are wonderful.
Central Palace

Such a clean apartment and the location is excellent!!. Some confusion on arrival regarding gaining access to the apartment and obtaining the access codes and key card.I suggest you email the property on arrival .In advance we arranged an airport transfer with the property which was brilliant although the property is situated in a pedestrian zone. Vienna House Andel's is a marker for taxis as it is just a very short walk to Central Palace across the square...and a good pick point for Uber which were very cheap and punctual. You need to email the property if you need fresh towels or the room cleaned as there is no reception. Such a beautiful apartment which was so clean and well maintained. Just right for a short visit. Central Palace is situated right across the square from Galeria Krakowska which is a massive shopping centre with a great choice of places to eat. We had breakfast in Nakielny restaurant a few times and would highly recommend this place. There is Starbucks on the corner of Central Palace too. Leaving the apartment turn left pass Starbucks and walk straight under the tunnel and you will be in Market Square in about 5 minutes which has plenty of restaurants, horse drawn carriages and is buzzing in the evenings to sit and have a meal or drink and listen to the various street entertainers. Would definitely recommend Central Palace as a great place to stay in Krakow.
