Hotel Copernicus

Krakow|1.16km from Magiczny Ogród Krakowian
A review based only on a Spa experience. After a previous visit to Hotel Copernicus last year, we decided to return for a Spa day. The hotel is expertly renovated and stunning inside, boasting a modern interior whilst maintaining the charm of the historical building. The lobby is extremely charming. The hotel itself has 29 rooms and is in high demand, and it’s obviously to see why. The location is perfect with the castle just a minutes walk away. The main square is also easily accessible, about 5-8 minutes walk down the Main Street which is bustling with shops, attractions, and museums. Now, about the spa. This is located in the cellar of the hotel and is once again, finished to an extremely high standard. The cellars are accessible via both stairs and an elevator. The spa is not large by any means, and the low vaulted ceilings provide a very cosy and intimate environment. Your first view is a crystal clear-blue pool, which reflects the light across the ceiling and walls creating a mesmerising dance of the light. To the right is a small check-in desk and immediately behind this is a quaint changing area furnished with lockers, a sink area, and shower. The spa is affiliated with L’Occitane and so all the products are branded as such. As expected, these products are top-shelf and smell incredible. In the lockers, bath robes and slippers are provided, and towels are liberally placed around the spa for your convenience. As a male with size 11 feet, I stood no chance squeezing my spade-like feet into the dainty slippers. I asked for a bigger pair and was provided with an identical, one-size-fits-most pair. Needless to say, I was also unable to wear these but I am used to this so bought my own sliders for the occasion. Next, into the relaxation chamber. Two large reclining beds are located here, on the floor. Very comfy and relaxing environment. Many candles (electric imitations) are present and the atmosphere was so calm I lay down and had the most amazing Power Nap. Free water (bottled) is provided. There is also another shower with an assortment of yet more L’Occitane products. A small sauna in the corner was set to 99° Celsius - and certainly felt it. I managed to endure 10 minutes, but would struggle to stay longer due to the heat. The pool itself is relatively small, but the atmosphere is unparalleled. And due to the need to book a treatment to access the spa, was deserted. The pool itself is amazing, and although heated, is at body temperature. The real star of the show was the treatments. My partner and I both booked facial treatments. 60 minutes for approximately £70. Not exactly cheap by Kraków standards, but this was by far the most amazing experience. The smell of lavender and other essential oils was incredible. The masseur was equally brilliant and I left feeling the most relaxed and stress-free I have been in years. If you are looking to pamper yourself - there is simply nothing else available to this level in the c

Very nice very clean very comfy hotel The price was very good, room maintained everyday fresh sheets fresh towels Very big rooms very happy with my stay here Only thing I would suggest is asking for a room which doesn’t face the road side, there’s a crossing with a little ticking noise that you can hear from very early morning

The breakfast was very, very rich and the bed and pillows were a bit too soft. The sanitation is very clean.” There is also a gym and sauna in the hotel. It is very good. Unfortunately, there is nothing to eat around. It takes 15 minutes to cross the bridge to eat in another place. Overall it is still very good. I will stay here next time.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location for our needs. Clean, modern room with a spacious bathroom. Situated by the Vistula River which provides ideal walking opportunities. The main bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and a local supermarket is slightly over 5 minutes away. Will happily stay here again when we next visit Krakow.
Cracow Riverside Aparthotel

I booked this place through 'BookingDOTcom' at a fantastic price and was so please with my stay here at the Riverside Aparthotel. The check-in felt a little sketchy at 1st as I didn't even need to give my name or any details and was given my key to the apartment I was staying in. However, I was communicating with the owner and she knew my ETA and also the fact I was with a big group of 8 guys! Went up to the apartment and I was so pleased. With such a big group we managed to fit everyone in well and everybody had a comfortable nights sleep each night. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated with a nice feature wall. All the beds were comfy including both sofa beds we had too. Most importantly for me, the bathroom was very clean with a decent shower with unlimited hot water. Couldn't be more pleased. The location of the apartment was great too. Wonderful view of the castle with only a short walk into the Main Square or the Jewish Quarter, super easily to get everywhere and an easy location for taxi drivers to pick-up/drop you off. Overall, a fantastic place and would highly recommend. 9/10.

Plus point is the view, IF you get a river view. Half the rooms don't have one, so be specific. Nothing else is good. Why else do you think it features so highly in their own adverts? There was perhaps a time when the hotel was great. But it has not been maintained. The rooms are bare, with a horrid rough carpet and they give the impression of being from a museum of life under communism. The breakfast was very poor. Coffee machine worked intermittently. Little variety or choice. I've had better breakfasts in several Polish youth hostels. As I sat down to breakfast, I found a dollop of congealed yoghurt and crumbs on my seat. This did nothing for my appetite. My main concern is that I booked a room late on a Friday. I knew it wouldn't have a river view - see from my pictures what view it did have - But I did hope to sleep. That hope never materialised. They gave me room 11, which is right underneath the motor for the air conditioning in the whole hotel. I tried to sleep and couldn't, being kept awake by frequent intermittent banging noises from the pipes overhead. They knew what they were doing when they gave me that room. At 2.45am, I got the receptionist to come up snd listen. he agreed it was awful. Then he went downstairs and turned the whole system off. it came back on again at 7am. Waste of time. Laughably, he tried to claim the noise was my air conditioning. But he had to be quiet when I pointed out it was not even switched on. They cynically exploited a lone foreigner, hoping he wouldn't complain.
