Firstly, it's not Sani or Ikos, but anyone (i.m.o) giving less than 4 stars is being massively harsh. Secondly, it's called a village for a reason - The place is huge! Positives - Massive pools so never feels too busy, beach location (lots of fish to see), very clean, a la carte restaurants, lovely staff, sports area, adventure land, buggies, entertainment. Negatives - No fridge in room, all inclusive drinks are pretty average, booking a la carte restaurants (get busy!), €50 deposit to play mini golf. For me, it's not 5 star luxury, however, it's a very very pleasnt 4 star family resort and would definitley return. Please don't let the poor reviews put you off, those people clearly have a gripe!

We travelled to BLV in October 2023, it was myself, my fiancee and our 10 month old daughter. We had requested a cot and bottle steriliser which were both waiting in the room for us, which was fantastic. We had booked a swim up room, and were in block 2000. Room was fantastic and having the swim up room was brilliant with a 10 month old. A nice touch by the hotel is the way you can get fresh beach towels every day. The hotel is great, rooms are lovely, beds comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Service by everyone in the hotel is fantastic and the all inclusive drinks I thought were good. The only negative was the food, the food was not very appetising at all. Most days struggled with what to eat, even the omelettes at breakfast were full of oil and so greasy. It's a shame there is nothing in walking distance to go to have other meals, but you are stuck unless you want to pay for a taxi. Overall the hotel, is fantastic the food in my opinion just lets it down.

There’s a lot to be said for previous reviews, reading them I was left with a certain amount of trepidation. There are some very different points of view and it can be difficult to understand how they can all be reviews of the same location. The truth is that having spent a week at the hotel I honestly can see all sides. I could nit pick a lot of little things, however they are very minor and didn’t impact on my experience. Pools: The numerous pools are fantastic, however are far too cold, to the point that I could only swim for 10-15 minutes at a time, a couple of times a day. Adventure park/water slides, really good, obvs the water was too cold, but great fun was had. Location: it is remote, but that's what I paid for so was very happy. Its so peaceful. Transfer from the airport took 10-15m, and bonus points… Hotel room was ready three hours early. Room: We had a “deluxe suite with private pool”. The pool as mentioned was far too cold (honestly feel this was the only let down, and on reflection would have paid extra for a heated pool as it would have completed the holiday, one point lost), however was very secluded, The room itself was very nice, and I was blown away with the sea and mountain views. The main bed was very comfortable, however for me was too soft, this is very subjective so no points lost. The sofa bed, was a thing from hell, my plan was to sleep on the sofa bed leaving the kids to sleep in the main bed, mainly so I could watch TV late at night. My poor son had to endure it night after night, I get that furniture has to be robust to deal with years of misuse, but this is the sole reason we wouldn't have this room type again. The Main TV, was stuck on German, most of the channels didn’t work. No points lost as didn’t bother me. TV in the bedroom, fully working, no complaints. Maid service, only one day was missed (a sunday) from other reviews we didn’t expect daily service, so no issues. Mini bar, was restocked almost daily, again wasn't expected so no issues. Grounds: Amazing, very clean, well cared for, often saw random workers on their way just stop and pick up rubbish. Beach: yep, the sand has many little sharp stones. Take water shoes. Water sports: Not part of the hotel as such, but these guys were great, expensive but great. Made our week complete and gutted I didn’t get back down on the last full day as intended. Cats: This is a cat lovers paradise, they are obvs well cared for, most are absolute chonkers, and all very calm when a hyper two year old wanted to pet them. Food: it’s hit and miss, we didn’t starve and found something we liked most days. The Mexican night at the Aegean was a real hit, I cant eat/dont like Mexican food in general, however it was fantastic. When the buffet is good, its really good, when its bad its mainly bland or like rubber (which is issue with buffets). As I say, we always managed to find something. We went to the bookable restaurants twice, The Golden Sun and the Piaz

Although we had a lovely holiday at blue lagoon there were a few things that let it down. We stayed for 10 nights, 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 6 months). The food was lovely at the buffets but after a few days it does get repetitive. The bookable restaurants were ok but I wouldn't say neither the buffet or restaurants were 5* standard. The bars the staff were lovely at the entertainment pool always checking if we wanted more drinks etc couldn't fault them! Entertainment this was pretty basic and again extremely repetitive. The shows are on quite late especially for little ones so we did make a move soon after the mini disco! There's a quiet lul after the disco until the show. Kids clubs highly recommend the tui run kids club and would actually avoid allowing your children to go to the hotel run kids club. We allowed the rep Ben to take our son on an activity only for him to return without our child when questioned where our son was he'd left him unattended at the water park! He wasn't aware if our son was a strong swimmer! The water park is quite a distance from the pool. He took 4 children into his care and returned with only 1! Overall the hotel is very clean, rooms are beautiful and it is on beautiful grounds ! If the food was to improve and the temperature of the pools wasn't so cold - although this isn't the hotels fault we would consider returning !

Stayed Oct 3-17, 2023. Travelled as a couple Hotel Grounds The hotel is on the south side of the island, in a secluded area with no other hotels around it. The grounds are enormous, and done in a 'village' style with restaurants, apartments, pools dotted around. It is hilly in some places, we enjoyed walking around the grounds but if you have difficulty walking you can call for a golf cart that can ferry you about. The buildings, gardens, paths etc are all well maintained and we found it to be very modern and stylish. Beach The hotel is situated on the coast, with its own beach with plenty of free sunbeds and parasols. The beach itself is sandy for the most part, with flat rock like surfaces leading into the sea. This can be a bit slippy so I would recommend sea/water shoes. There are some watersports if that's your cup of tea but we found the beach to be the most relaxing part of the hotel and spent most of our lounging time there. Room We had a very spacious room with a sea view. It was very clean and modern, plenty of storage, toiletries, a safe, a fridge, a TV, 2 singles pushed together (but felt ok as they didn't separate and very comfortable) and a sofa. The staff cleaned it every day and provided fresh towels throughout our stay. Food & Drink The quality and variety of the food is amazing. We've stayed at many 5 star all inclusive hotels throughout the greek islands and this is definitely one of the best that we've come across. There are quite a few restaurants to pick from, each of them sharing the same high quality but with some variations. There are 3 bookable restaurants that you can visit once a week as well so we went to each of these twice. 2 are table service (Italian & Chinese), and one you cook your own food (BBQ). They were all nice but we probably prefered the variety and experience of the BBQ over the others. There's definitely something there for everyone! There's plenty of bars dotted around the village, each serving the usual coffees/teas, soft drinks, cocktails, beer, wine etc. There are chargeable items but there's a lot of choice if you're all inclusive and we never felt like wanting any of the chargeable stuff. Some of their drinks did seem a little light on the alcohol but this was largely dependent on who served you and it was never really an issue as you can always just go back for more! A must try would be the waffles at the gelateria, they are made to order with a good choice of toppings. You can also get ice cream, cakes and crepes here too. Entertainment Every night there was a show at the amphitheatre. It's not really our scene so we never went but from what we could hear in the distance it was very popular, especially with families. There's a more relaxed vibe at the main hotel bar in the evening, where there's often a singer and this was much more to our liking. The animation team also did various activities throughout the day but this wasn't something we took part in. Staff Can't fault the staff one b

Stayed at the Blue Lagoon Village in October and had a reasonable holiday there. The room we got was fantastic and had a great sea view and I couldn't fault it at all. Unfortunately, I found everything else average which was disappointing as TUI rated it as 5 stars. The food on offer at the buffet restaurant I thought was very average and lacked flavour. The 3 a la carte restaurants were awful and I would strongly recommend not having a 20:00 or 20:30 slot as they all close at 9pm and they are already starting to close down when you are just sitting down for a nice meal. Because of this, there's nothing left at the buffet for your starter and what there is has been sat there for ages. The draught beer was OK but weak. The wine and spirits were local and just about bearable but most disappointing were the cocktails. They were cheap and the majority of them were already prepared in jugs. What was more disappointing and not mentioned anywhere on TUI's website is that if you want any of the most popular cocktails then these are only available if your prepared to pay and at approx 12 euros each which is well over priced. We were surprised at how many families with young kids there were and even more disappointed that the adult pool that's clearly shown on the map of the complex didn't exist. We had a pleasant stay but wouldn't recommend this to couples looking for a quieter experience. I would class this as 3 star trying to be a 5 star village.

We travelled here as a family of four with an 8 year old and a 4 year old. The room - We stayed in a double swim up room which was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The room had TV’s (with access to YouTube), lots of storage space, a phone for room service and a fridge which contained bottles of water and was regularly cleaned. As they were swim up room they had low safety doors on the patio doors you can pull across and also safety catches on the room doors to stop small children opening them which is great when you have a small child. The hotel provides free WiFi which we had no issues accessing. We requested a couple of extra pillows which they delivered very quickly. The pools - All the pools were very clean and week maintained. There were so many of them I’m afraid we didn’t get a chance to use them all. Unfortunately the water was freezing cold, however my children didn’t care and were happy to jump straight in. I found the indoor heated pool much more bearable and we made use of the sauna, jacuzzi jets and steam room too. The gym and health spa looked good but we didn’t get an opportunity to use these. The entertainment- there were lots of opportunities for activities. I tried a bit of water aerobics and my children attended one of the afternoon children’s events which they loved. As a family we spent most time together. My children loved the evening kids disco. The evening entertainment was excellently choreographed and the singer and guitarist outside the cocktail bar were incredible. We also went down to the beach and went parasailing. The guys running this were absolutely brilliant and we all loved it, especially my four year old. The food - The range of food was great. We tended to go to the Ocean bar with sea views on a lunchtime and the main restaurant on the evening. We also tried the Chinese which was very nice, the BBQ restaurant which was lovely (though not really a fan of cooking my own food on holiday) and also the Italian which was fantastic. The quality of the food was great. At the start of the holidays there were queues for pancakes and omelettes. These queues often meant you couldn’t easily get to the other food on the counters without pushing in. Ideally they should have separate stations for these. A couple of times my wife, being vegetarian, had food that was marked up as being vegetarian only to find it contained meat, however this was a simple oversight given how busy the staff were. We loved the crepe/waffle/ice cream counter by the pool which was a nice treat Drinks - Whilst they do use non branded spirits the cocktails were amazing, especially from the cocktail bar. I’m not a big drinker but I certainly made the most of it, especially with poolside service. Staff- The start were all very friendly and worked tirelessly cleaning up the resort, maintaining the grounds, clearing away dirty cups and plates, serving drinks and food, providing entertainment. Everybody was so kind and helpful. I wou
