I called and it took about 10 minutes for the car to arrive. The ryokan facilities were rated 6.5 out of 10. It was a bit old. I paid 5,500 yen more for a private ryokan and it was good. The large public bath was nice because it had an open-air bath, and the water was very good. It was slippery. I requested dinner, but I was able to order draft beer and the meal was pleasant. Is there nothing to eat?? Breakfast is a buffet, kind of like home-cooked food. Most people are Japanese, and there are mountains nearby. I saw a few people riding the cable car and wearing hiking clothes. The neighborhood was almost dead, so I didn't go around.
