Three of us stayed at Akane for three nights. We came to see Miyama Kirishima, but it was a shame that it had already fallen. There were no shops nearby, so we used the laundromat and got dinner of local produce at the Aso roadside station. The 82m2 villa-style room had an indoor bath and an open-air bath with 24-hour hot spring water. From the balcony you can see the Aso mountain range, and in the library at the front desk you can drink coffee, tea, and herbal tea freely and read books. It rained all day out of the three days, but we were able to relax by reading books, taking a bath in the hot spring, and going to a nearby cafe for cake. However, it was scary when it started to rain heavily, but this is a wonderful place to spend time. I would definitely like to come back here next year to see Miyama Kirishima covering the entire mountain.
