Dinner at the meal hall was noisy and disliked, so I booked only for breakfast, but the restaurant in the building could only choose ”furnace end Yaki tavern”. There were other restaurants that seemed to be good, but it was a pity that it was closed or only reservation (I don't know how to make a reservation in advance). I entered the 'furnace end Yaki tavern' and sat in the counter seat, but the atmosphere and the dish were not complained, and the set was better than Aizu Ji sake drinker.

I didn't expect it to be a common Indian curry restaurant, but I was very satisfied with the delicious curry that was properly Sri Lanka and used local ingredients. The staff was not familiar with course cooking, and the Sri Lankan dishes were great, so I thought it was not necessary to make it a common course. I feel that it is better to make a delicious course dish in Sri Lanka cuisine. Rooms are suitable for the price. I think it is comfortable in winter because all rooms and corridors are equipped with oil heaters. The hot spring is very small and seems to be filled with 2 〜 3 people, but you can use the large bath at the facility next door for free. It is said that it is a facility managed by the same affiliated company. You can go to the hot springs of the next building while you feel like going to the public bath in the neighborhood. A little walk, there were many water Basho around and it was a good hotel to see Bandai mountain far away.

We visited Aizuwakamatsu at the national holiday weekend so there were limited options to us in this famous onsen town, Hagishiyama. We wanted a more modern hotel, and while the shots of the room look good on their website, the reality is that it is much smaller than I had expected. Though the room looked new, the bathroom was a disappointment, small and shabby. With two large beds in the room, that leaves little space for moving around. And they try hard to squeeze all essential items of an onsen hotel room into the smallest space possible, including placing the vanity unit in the living room opposite the sleeping platform, sharing space with a kettle and drinking water glasses. There is a shoe stand and a folding screen in-between the toilet and bathroom, which is hugely strange and inconvenient. Ours is a 12-tatami room, which I expect would be good for 3 people, but the reality is that it is so cramped that one would not want to spend much time in the room. Perhaps that’s the reason why the hotel provided a lot of public sitting areas. Yes, for guests to admire the magnificent view of the mountain stream, but also to stay out of the uncomfortable room. The room was a huge disappointment but there are some nice sides of the hotel. Dinner was really good; we had window seats facing the waterfall and the Aizu beef was very delicious. The public onsets, especially the outdoor ones, are nice, situated just next to the mountain stream. All in all, for the US680 I paid for three, it was not good value for money.

This is a historical monument from the Taisho era. I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay and admire the traditional Japanese architecture. The owner of the house has kerosene lamps to provide warmth. I was a little afraid of the smell of kerosene lamps, so I only turned it on and off. The bathroom is on the first floor in the form of a traditional large bath. There is a delicious Xiangfu Ramen shop and a large fresh food supermarket nearby, so you don’t have to worry about eating. Grandma’s warm human touch is so missed. There are many historical buildings nearby worth seeing.

We used it for one person per night in June 2020. Due to recent circumstances, breakfast was not a buffet style at the venue, but a form of taking rice balls, bowls, and packed side dishes to the room to eat. Although it is a pack format, I think the amount of breakfast was sufficient and the type of side dishes was good (^^) I thought it was easy to use even if I left early in the morning because I could eat it from 6:30 in the morning. Regarding the room, I heard the sound of the person in the next room biting his nose, but it seems that the walls are thin (-_-;) The cleanliness of the room is perfect, I was able to sleep well until morning in a comfortable space ☆ I could rent a blanket, so I didn't have any trouble with bedding. It was a room on the upper floors, so The view such as Aizuwakamatsu station was good.
